CWC Game #2 Black Caps vs Bangladesh
-
Game 2 vs the Bangles as the Black Caps look to build momentum to get the juggernaut going.
Looks like we will have an unchanged team. Starts at 12.30AM which is less than ideal but a camp out in the lounge is on the cards, with SA vs India on to keep me busy in the meantime.
Without knowing the pitch conditions I'd like to see us bat first and pile on a big score; would be good if the batsman can get a bit of form leading into the tougher matches.

I knew they'd retain Munro if he got runs!
12.30 am start for NZ viewers - our inning will be played on fast forward on Star TV during innings break of the game between INDIA and the Jaapies!
In case anyone was wondering about our significance in the general scheme of cricket things.

Bangles 113-3 after 24 overs.
Santner impressive tying batsmen down. Pressure forced a dumb run out by the Bangles
-
Some tight bowling & fielding in the last 10 overs has dragged the run rate down
Would feel happier if we knocked off a Bangle wicket or two.
-
Santner, a world class ODI World Cup 2019 bowler.
-
Good to see Ross Taylor giving the DRS system and umpire/TMO comms a good test....
-
Matt Henry is the leading wicket taker in the tournament with seven.
After a really nervy period including several near run outs, a near catch and a smattering of good shots in between, Rosco and Kane have settled in and are both now well set with less than half the total to be run down. Hopefully one of these two can get a hundred (Taylor now on 52 and Williamson on 35) and make this a comprehensive win. -
You guys are using the wrong thread, sheesh.
CdG won't want a close finish here, could be some fireworks coming up shortly.
-
Also why the hell did so many players hole out chasing a small total. Braindead.

It's baffling - if only they would just listen to BMac on commentary who is admonishing them for trying to push the tempo. I thought he would have been very happy with the skipper scoring 40 runs then chipping out.
