Can't be sure, but I'll never forget the comments from Tamanivalu a year after his move from the Chiefs to the Crusaders, saying how much better the culture was and how much he enjoyed playing for the Crusaders.
I think that was more a Tamanivalu thing than anything else, all the other Chiefs players of that era were happy with the culture.
Wasn't it not that the Crusaders were only team throwing him a lifeline but they brought him in as an injury replacement as they had space.

@Yeetyaah Chiefs coach Colin Cooper explained that due to Reece originally intending to go to Connacht, they committed to signing another impressive winger, big Tongan-born Japan powerhouse Ataata Moekiola.
โWith Sevu Reeceโs contract not coming through with Connacht, we had already committed to him (Moeakiola), so itโs unlucky for Sevu to miss out,โ Cooper said.

As a Chiefs fan I'm hoping Moeakiola leaves and the Chiefs pick up Reece. He just signed for Waikato again so I feel it's possible.
As a Chiefs fan I'm hoping Moeakiola leaves and the Chiefs don't pick up Reece.

@Yeetyaah I am sure they are maybe hard pulling Reece away from that environment that has brought his GF and Sevu into the fold when a lot of people where very critical of The Crusaders giving him a lifeline early on,That was before he produced this form.Hard to move from that franchise I would guess.

@Nepia Haha each to their own but why is that?
He lost a contract for domestic violence, he was already leaving to go overseas so he clearly didn't want to be in NZ. Why should the Chiefs and NZ waste space and money on him?

@Chris said in Crusaders v Lions:
@Nepia No you guys don't need him
We've already got our playing for another country wing, he's shitty than the normal wings, and the WTG fill in guys from early season yet he seems to be a dead set starter for Cooper.
I think you the Crusaders should prove how good their culture is and take him of the Chiefs hands.
