From the BBC website:
"Home captain Morgan said before the game that he would not discourage the crowd from booing Smith and Warner"
That worked out well then.
NZ got beat at home the next meeting after underarm at Eden Park. Chappell got a century.
You have a whole Ashes century to roast them. Enjoy it!

Errr. Not sure of your point. But NZ won that. Chappell did get ton though.
(got cleaned up in the next two though in rainy yucky weather in Dunners then Welly - all out 76 the latter, Wrighty a royal duck).

Have watched hardly any cricket for about 5 years - just too much of the bloody stuff on all the time.
But have to say this World Cup has been pretty damn good.

Excellent, ruthless performance by Australia today. England can't afford to lose again. They must beat India and Black Caps to make the semis.
They will certainly be looking over their shoulder that's for sure.

2015 RWC all over again..
Yup. Perhaps they should call Stuart Lancaster to ask who his therapist is? I think the Indians will be too ruthless and have too much quality for England provided they play their top team. The final match vs the BCs will be monumental

Although unlike their Rugby team i actually have a lot of time for their Cricket sides, would rather they won the CWC then Oz or our cricket overlords India
Not sure if the pressure of being at home is getting to them or they peaked prevously. -

The ball from Starc to take Bin was fucking unplayable.

Behrendorff was superb getting a Michelle

boo *that" you fluffy bunnies.
This post leaves me so confused and conflicted as to whether I can "like" it or not. In one sense you've done us a massive favour, but the flipside is that whilst I don't lower myself to Aussie hating for the sake of it like so many kiwis do you have Smith and Warner in the team.
I need another coffee.

@MN5 just remember mate: even tho you're a South Seas Pom, you're not actually a Pom.
Except when you're pretending to be Scottish git. Then you're definitely a Pom.
Scots didn't even make this WC. I blame the loss to Afghanistan last time round.

You mean Nz to beat Aussie in the final?
-
i found myself actually supporting Aus last night. I like a lot of their players these days, Finch has really grown on me, and he played a gem last night.
That was a fucking good win. England will rue their first 20-odd overs where their bowling was all over the shop. They actually tightened right up, starting with Stokes' spell, and made it difficult for Aus to put the hammer down. But in those conditions chasing 280 against that Aus attack is a hell of an ask.
England will be freaking the fuck out. However i can't see them missing out. I think the result that would put their hearts in their mouths would be Pakistan knock us over tonight
-
@mariner4life I found myself supporting them too. Mainly because one of the bookies had $4 odds warner to score 30+ and aus to win.
Second dirty bet on my most hated cricketer. Oh well my meth dealer doesn't judge where the money comes from...
-
It will hurt me to cheer for India, but I'd love to see them dust the Poms and set up a 'must win' game against NZ to finish.
For Australia, it's a case of class players standing up when they are needed. Warner is the top tournament runscorer, and Finch is #2. That can't be understated given our relatively weak middle/lower order. Hard to fuck it up if you're 0/100 after 20 overs each game.
Meanwhile Starc is the top wicket taker and back to his best.
All of a sudden it looks like a race in three, but I still wouldn't rule England out. I reckon they scrape into the semi-finals and then anything can happen.
