Maybe Australia's difficulties suggest the pitch is starting to play worse

@canefan awful runout. Shit shot from Maxwell. And Finch, really.

I'd suggest the pitch took Warner and good bowling took the rest.

Fuck that's a peach from Behrendorff. Full, swinging, castled

Uncharacteristic flail from the first ball of the over.

You don't see Root's head fall over like that often

Morgan gone. Too aggressive as Starc drops one short

@canefan not counting my chickens, but with Cummins and The Goat to bowl, that Predictor thing has done a somersault

Fuck it. Sleep time at 0030.

Some great bowling by Behrendorff. Opening with him worked then Starc out 3 excellent overs in. Hopefully we get the result.

Well I hung out for another 15 to see goofy have a bowl and then Bairstow holes out. Nice

Now it's 1am so I'm really going to sleep.

Still nervous with Buttler and Bin out there.

6.5 from here is do-able for sure but current coin is on Straya

Game over indeed. 64 run win by the Bad Guys who were the good guys in this one, doing us a favour.

    England starting down the barrel.

Not out of it yet (just as NZ aren't yet fully guaranteed). But for all the talk of an unstoppable ODI force scoring 400 at will they could repeat England's RWC performance.

I am amused by a couple of posters in the NZ v Windies thread who suggested Pommie media (and public?) were a little condescending to NZ and felt we've been "lucky". Rather be lucky than good ... 🙂

    From the BBC website:

"Home captain Morgan said before the game that he would not discourage the crowd from booing Smith and Warner"

    That worked out well then.

NZ got beat at home the next meeting after underarm at Eden Park. Chappell got a century.

You have a whole Ashes century to roast them. Enjoy it!

Errr. Not sure of your point. But NZ won that. Chappell did get ton though.

(got cleaned up in the next two though in rainy yucky weather in Dunners then Welly - all out 76 the latter, Wrighty a royal duck).

Excellent, ruthless performance by Australia today. England can't afford to lose again. They must beat India and Black Caps to make the semis.
