2 Points
1/ How the hell Henry is in anyones top XI is beyond me, I renaming him Big Ben as all he does is provide pies. Big Ben Henry i dub thee.
2/ I played Matt Hart in club cricket, didnt see the mean side.... but he scored fuck all and his team got crushed... so my team did all the trash talk. Except me... as i am super nice...
Obviously Hooroo is being a pussy then
Not sure yet. Am yet to play. Only passing on what I heard from guys that played against him
Ask him if he still likes a sesh with Fleming and Nash.
And thats why you dont invited to nice events......
righto

Amazing thing about Henry is where he sits in terms of career strike rates...13th of all time. Lots of four and five wicket bags.

Makes some sense on the keeping front - if he drops Virat Kohli on 0 whatever contribution the keeper might make with the bat is probably well and truly nullified.
I agree on Ish - he seems more likely to take wickets than Astle and I'm not sure Astle is going to concede any less runs.

In the strange world that NZ Cricket operates in, next month we (a New Zealand XI) are playing three ODIs against an Australian XI as a warm up to the World Cup.
Only most of our World cup team aren't playing because they're too busy warming benches in the IPL. The Australians, meanwhile, are expected to have their full squad CWC squad available, even though a lot of them actually play in the IPL.
Apparently our guys are allowed to use their annual leave to skip this series and stay in India, where a few of them might actually get to play a couple of T20s as replacements for the Aussies, who've come home to prepare properly for the Cricket World Cup. But, probably most of our guys will continue to work on their form from the dugout - perhaps using an app on their phone.
Santner has had a few games and bowled a good spell in his last one. I think Little Kane might have had a couple of quick bats in recent times.
-
And in other "bend over" news, India has instructed Australia to re-schedule its January three match series against us. The Aussies and us are "looking at options". I think the subtext of us being relaxed about this is that we've also got a mega-buck series against India scheduled, so there will be no rocking of the boat.

"Black Caps star Martin Guptill says he's ready to try to fill the big boots of the departed David Warner in the Indian premier League.
The hard-hitting Guptill hasn't been used at all by the Sunrisers Hyderabad but is an obvious choice to replace Warner who has left to join Australia's World Cup preparations."
Somehow the phrase "fucked up" hasn't been used in this article.

Look to be cruising to victory in this one!!!
Will Young looking the goods!
Shame Young couldn't see us home, but definitely living up to the domestic performances. Exciting to see that we have some talent coming through.

Nice to see Will Young proving himself on this stage but I have to wonder who the hell this is benefitting? Australia, clearly, as they have a full squad on deck, but we only have three members of our WC squad playing FFS. So basically we're assisting Australia's preparations.

Yeah not sure why this series went ahead, unless originally they thought more of our WC squad would be involved?

It gives some of our backup players a run against a quality opposition so probably still worth it from our POV. But agree it benefits the Aussies more. The results have been better for us though!

The whole thing is a bit bizarre.
For some reason we rested Nicholls and Henry for this game - despite that they're going to the CWC and others who played are not. Nicholls made a duck in the first game. You'd hope it's because they're injured, but it could just be madness.
Meanwhile Guppy finally gets to bat in the IPL in place of Warner - gets a solid 36 - but, his team still gets knocked out of the Eliminator final. Warner having been the no. 1 batsman of the IPL isn't available, because this series takes precedence for Australia.
Guptill, Williamson, Boult and Munro all played in that game - presumably because their Australian teammates are away playing these warm-up games. Meanwhile there's presumably preople like Southee, Ferguson, CdG and Sodhi - whose IPL teams have finished, they've barely played, but they're not home for this warm up series.
