2019 Cricket ODI WC

We got a pattern of poorly run and corrupt associations with weak teams, regardless of their historical successes, by the looks of it.
Sri Lanka, south Africa, Pakistan, Zimbabwe .
Windies been there for the past 2 decades, good to see that worked itself out, seemingly.
There's some causation there I reckon

Another good catch, this time by Woakes.
Are you watching a delayed broadcast? That was 10 overs ago.
Ha, looks like it was cricinfo that was really slow.

England struggling to find a bowler with impact at the moment. Had to bowl Ali out as he was the only effective option.
Wood wasn't working so they shifted to Woakes. Woakes was chucking pies so they tried Stokes with Archer. The runs kept coming so they brought back Wood who went for 6 of his first return ball.Looking like Pakistan may well reach a decent score here.
EDIT: I cursed them. Wood got a wicket

England getting themselves into trouble here with a slow over rate.
Morgan has only just served out a ban from the pre tournament series. Although nothing carries over into the tournament Morgan has now had 3 'minor' over rate offences in the last 12 months. This one is looking like a 'major offence' as it is going to be more than 2 overs short.

you watching live Crucial? Wondering how many times the pommy commentators have said "England will back themselves to chase down a big score" ... I'm guessing it'll be 25-50 by now?
Nah, about to now though. Have been in meetings with cricinfo giving me a slow update

All very well saying England can score 360 on this pitch but that doesn't totally account for the fact that England's prime strike bowler got 0 wickets for 79 off 10

Which may add weight to the argument that they will easily get there. Totally benign pitch.
Scoreboard pressure is real though chasing 349

This is from an article on Cricinfo…
England's problems were not limited to the fielding, either. With Adil Rashid proving expensive (he went for 43 from five overs), Eoin Morgan only felt able to allow him five overs. Partially as a result, their over-rate suffered to the extent that there were more than three overs remaining by the time England would have been expected to complete their overs. In all, Pakistan's innings over-ran by 19 minutes.
It's only a few games since Morgan served a one-match suspension for repeated over-rate violations. While there is an amnesty on such issues for global events like this, the possibility that Morgan could be censured again here is very real. While that may only amount to a fine, it will remain on his record and be taken into account should England over-run again. Coming at this stage of the tournament, it is also a real concern. England do not want to be without their captain for the latter stages of the competition. That doesn't match what the CWC Playing Conditions say.
Over Rate offences during CWC2019 will be penalised in accordance with the ICC Code of Conduct subject to the following: - All Captains shall start CWC2019 with no ‘Minor’ and/or ‘Serious’ Over Rate offences against their names. - A Captain will need to commit 2 ‘Minor’ Over Rate offences during CWC2019 to be suspended from a CWC2019 match, or one ‘Serious’ Over Rate offence during CWC2019 to be suspended from 2 CWC2019 matches
ICC Code for 'Serious' - 2.22.2 where the actual over rate in.....any One Day International Match, Twenty20 International Match or any other International Match of fifty (50) or twenty (20) overs per side, is more than two overs short of the Minimum Over Rate, such an offence shall be considered a “Serious Over Rate Offence”.
