@mariner4life round 3 2015 , that is bizarre , wonder how many Richmond players have never played there, fair few I’m guessing
that is strange. Where have the games been? 4 seasons is an eternity

I’m guessing Richmond and Brisbane have been playing just the once , and that is one of Brisbanes games at the g they get each year
It’s a bloody weird system

it gets stupider. In 2017 we played you twice, once at the G, once at Marvel

Yeah I just found that out myself, asked earlier on a Richmond forum and I got the other answer, went back on and he had been corrected , apologies @mariner4life

and speaking of piston wristed gibbons, i just read the shit Reiwoldt hasn't played anywhere except the 'G all year. kissed on the dick.

@mariner4life is that why it took you 7 days to respond

First final was, as expected, a drubbing. Essendon were always the worst team in the finals, and that was ruthlessly exposed by West Coast who hammered them to the tune of 9 goals. West Coast march on to the G next weekend to play either Collingwood or Geelong i believe.
The way it played out actually worries me for Saturday night. Finals is just different footy. It's more intense, the margins are tighter, there is less whistle, it's just a different animal. And teams who are used to it, like that very experienced West Coast side, are far more able to deal with the change. Richmond are very much in that boat. The Lions are very much not. The one bloke who not only knows what it's like, but has a tendency to get even better at this time of year, is 35 years old.
My fear is, Richmond come out, jump us, and by the time we settle in to the work some time in the 3rd, the game is out of sight.

Best part of the game was Zach Merrett pulling Nic Nat's hair, and Nic Nat throwing him like a little bitch. Aphaed in the most public way.
-
This is a shit game. Even the big crowd is bored

You just never know , look at Richmond 2017 and the dogs 2016.
I often think Richmond pinched that flag 2017 because at the time , there was almost an opinion in the footy community to not take them seriously, every final they played , the media experts picked against them.
It should’ve been the crows that year who technically were by far the best team that season . But couldn’t handle Richmond’s pressure on the day. That’s all it takes, one bad day. That premiership came a year early imo, 2018 Richmond were the better team but failed then. 2019 they are probably better .
I honestly think now , Brisbane are a team on the rise, Richmond appear more seasoned, and if they play to their best, they win, but if we go back to the previous seasons as examples, it doesn’t always work that way -
@kiwiinmelb I hear what you are saying but a key difference for me is Richmond were on the cusp for a couple of years (Ninethmond) whereas we've come very quickly from years at the bottom.
Don't get me wrong, I reckon we're a chance, even a good chance. But I would be more confident in 12 months.

I’m not sure any players in this team have finished 9th that was a cliche from the 90s and early 2000s when it kept happening , but some jokes hang around.
This team made finals 3 times before 17 , but 8-5 , were never a serious threat , but the experience was valuable.
I think both teams and supporters should go into this game with some confidence, that makes it a good contest

First two finals have been fizzers
