Also heard Eddie is pretty pissed, Dane promised him this and that if they helped him , and went against his word,
Eddie doesn’t like it when things don’t go his wayThat just makes me happier.
And from a Richmond point of view, remember Collingwood were chasing hard after Tom Lynch, offering him more than us , when Tom picked Richmond, Collingwood changed direction quickly and went after beams instead
It was a double loss

All we know at this point are rumours, just something to be mindful of when posting fellas.

we've been clear enough that this is all "i heard..." and "rumour is..." haven't we?

All good so far. But I wouldn’t be earning my mod wage if I didn’t send out a reminder given these things can sometime take on a life of their own.

Another good win to the Tigers in bad weather. If we improved our accuracy we'd be smashing it.
-
Lions win a good game v the Dogs. Geez Bontempelli is some player, he damn near got the Dogs home by himself. Still 3rd, but the top 3 all on the same wins now.
We get the Gold Coast next week. Even though they always lift for Brisbane, you would think the Lions should be too good. Then it's the faltering Geelong, and then a blockbuster with Richmond (we're a blockbuster again!)
It's looking very much like a Richmond v West Coast GF.
Hard to see any team forcing their way in to the 8 now, i reckon finals are locked in.
-
@mariner4life the Bont is having a huge second half of the season. Probably is Brownlow favourite now.
-
I think it’s pretty open to be honest,
Plenty of little twists and turns could happen over the next few weeks , Richmond have to play 2 sides above them on the ladder in 3 weeks , at the g which helps .
But 1 loss and they are out of the 4. Even Carlton won’t be easy this week in their resurgence, they hate us with a passion and would love nothing more. The perfect scenario for us would be to the top 4 to stay as it is and we get Geelong at the g first week of the finals. They get a bit spooked about playing us there .

He's a beast of a player, big, fast and skillful
Brownlow could be pretty bloody close. Cripps, Bont, Neale and a couple of others will be polling votes most weeks. Kelly would have polled heaps early. Can't say i watch enough West Coast, but one of their blokes must be getting a heap as well.

Given your draw, i reckon you are a chance to sneak in to 2nd, and host there anyway. I don't think the Lions would want to play you there.
As far as i am concerned, if we can't host (and i can't really see us finishing top 2) then i hope we get Geelong, and the AFL make them play at the 'G.
-
Cripps will definitely poll well early in the season. He was on fire right up until around round 9

I don’t think we can overtake WC or Brisbane unless we beat them and they lose again given the percentage difference.
If we were to beat Brisbane and west coast we would be on the same wins , unless you guys lost to Geelong as well , I think west coast have 2 other winnable games.

He was, but Carlton only won one of those games so I can't see him bagging too many 3-pointers. That said, in the absence of a consensus favourite I don't think he will need as many votes as he might have in previous seasons.
Neale is now the bookmakers favourite, followed by Kelly, Fyfe and Cripps.
-
Winning games and getting Brownlow votes doesn’t always correlate. Plugger won a Brownlow playing for the Saints in the 80s....
-
Cripps polled 20 votes last year when he wasn't as good, and the Blues got beaten like ginger stepkids
-
You've got to give Chris Scott credit. Geelong falling back to the pack, and he fronts up and answers questions pretty honestly and with a refreshing level of insight.
-
Also Mark Robinson is a shameless flog
-
And so 2 weeks of regular season left.
Lions predictably boost the percentage with a Q-clash and jump to 2nd. @booboo 's crows drop out of the 8
Finals starts 3 weeks early! this weekend 1st plays 2nd, and 3rd plays 4th. Lions are playing at home for top spot if you can believe it. This season has been amazing no matter what happens from here.
Bottom spots in the 8 are well open. The Doggies are coming hard, Adelaide fell to 9th, both Essendon and Port who are there at the moment are vulnerable.
I'm not surprised @shark has abandoned this thread. Melbourne have gone from a prelim, to 5-win 2nd last. An appalling season for a club tipped to contend for the lot this year.
I am still tipping Richmond v West Coast GF.
