That was a big win by Brisbane. They've had a nice season so far, but haven't had that one 'look at us' win yet, away from home.

West Coast have been the big improvers this last month. They might challenge Geelong for the minor premiership. Cats have dropped a few games but I don't know if that's just a bit of mid-season boredom.

West Coast look good. Geelong will come right again, they are just in a slump after being up for the entire first half of the season.

The rest all look vulnerable. Collingwood have serious wobbles. Brisbane are far from the finished article. There is something missing at GWS (forward pressure i think). Everyone else lacks consistency.

Richmond are now the smokeys. That percentage boost they got on the weekend suddenly means they are a massive shout to make the top 4. 7 games at the MCG to finish the season, i reckon they are nicely placed.

What? Saints at Marvel isn’t a big away win anymore???

Brisbane have good size in the inside and speed on the outside. The dark day’s of Leppa have all but gone.

I think Richmonds massive injury toll this year may be too much to recover from ,

Getting players back now who have missed most of the season ,

Has to be question marks on their fitness etc , and how long to will take to get back to that level required

We find out over the next few weeks I guess,

playing the gold coast was no real indication , they were bloody horrible

Speaking of Leppa , he must live close to me somewhere, I see him walking his dog often

Are you in close to the city? Leppa is still an Assistant coach for the Tigers isn’t he?

Stitch up!! 8 games to play, and Richmond play 7 straight at the MCG to finish the season. 7 straight games leading in to the finals at the ground finals will be played on. Their only away game is to the Suns.

Are we supposed to play at some cow paddock? We do have home games too.

indeed, however it's a bit rough that you play 13 times at home. Especially when that home is also where the big finals are played.

The Lions get to play on the MCG precisely twice. We also get the pleasure of Tasmania and the bustling metropolis of Ballarat.

7 games without travel leading in to finals would be nice too.

You wanted to join the VFL...

like most Tigers supporters, you don't remember the VFL

Nonsense. The move to the AFL was a conspiracy to keep our club down.

True, those two VFL Clubs South Melbourne and Fitzroy have had much better success in the AFL

Lions only one of three teams to win 4/5 of their last 5 games . Others being the Bombers whose coach was on shaky ground not so long ago now finding themselves in the top eight and the Bulldogs who must have had bottom of the table opponents but quietly slipping under the radar. On the other hand GWS have lost 4/5 so still a lot of interest in who is going to make the top8

Richo gets the ass from the Saints. I got the impression from his post game presser on the weekend he knew it was coming

I guess when your only wins since April are against the Blues and Suns, you'd have an inkling.

What doesn’t make sense is that at the end of last season we were at a low point and there was greater justification to let him go. This season we have had probably our worst injury toll that I can remember and to players that under our current list, need every week fit and firing.

In saying that after the Blues and Roos got rid of their coaches it was only a matter of when.
