NFL 2019

Preseason is over and teams are now trimming their rosters to 53 players.
No major names cut but the NY Jets cut RB Elijah McGuire who is a decent player. Could see a RB-needy team like Houston picking him up. Former QB turned WR Tyrelle Pryor is cut by the Jags.
-
Houston Texans were busy today. DE Clowney was traded from the Texans to the Seahawks, O-line man Tunsil and WR Stills were traded from the Dolphins to the Texans in a blockbuster trade that included two first round picks and a second round pick going to the Fins. RB Carlos Hyde was traded again this time from the Chiefs to the Texans.
In non-Texan news Shady McCoy was released by Buffalo and has immediately signed with the KC Chiefs.

Val Holmes was also cut wasn't he?
Wheres does everyone rank the Cowboys and Eagles this season?
He's on the practice squad though. He's a roster exemption so the Jets get an extra practice squad spot but Holmes can't be activated. Now comes the hard work, if he wants it this is the perfect chance. Spend a year honing his craft and building his skill set. He showed some flashes as a slot reciever but struggle in the rushing game so plenty to work on.

Eagles are one of the favourites to win the NFC. Obviously a lot depends on if Carson Wentz can get his game back to where it was before his injury but they feel like a genuine Super Bowl contender.
Cowboys in the same division are also a good side that should make the playoffs. It's hard to tell with the Cowboys as they are talented but always get overhyped by the media. Dak Prescott is a solid QB but not sure if he has enough game to really make the Cowboys a contender. Plus their best player Zeke is still holding out so that could be a distraction. The good news for the Cowboys is they have a relatively soft start to the season with the Giants and Redskins first up.

AB is a clown. I knew he was an idiot, but I didn't think he'd go this far.
This is pretty funny though.:smiling_face_with_open_mouth_cold_sweat:
The Raiders are desperate for results, but I can see them giving up on him. It's just non-stop drama with him.
Was tossing up between Tyrell Williams and Ty Montgomery as a bench stash with my last non kicker or defence pick in my fantasy draft last night. Went with Montgomery and now have a waiver claim in on Williams.

My picks for the 2019 season:
AFC: Steelers will beat the Patriots 27-17
NFC: Eagles will beat the Seahawks 20-19Superbowl: Eagles will beat the Steelers 33-30

Rushing leader: Sony Michel (New England)
Receiving leader: JuJu Smith-Schuster (Pittsburgh) -
@Sneakdefreak Eagles???? Wow, big call
I like watching NFL - it's just such an apex sport. So much money and training there, and yet some teams manage to rise above the draft and salary cap so frequently. I struggle with the brain injury stuff though, particularly at college level. At least the NFL lads get some compensation, but the wilful disregard for head injuries is amazing in the sport. Proof I guess that protective gear doesn't necessarily make you safer

Protective gear doesn't make you safer if it's being used as an offensive weapon

@Sneakdefreak you've changed. I miss the annual "niners will make the Championship game at least"
Stoked it's back! Even though Denver look to be treadmilling this year.
Fucking Brady and the fucking Patriots will probably win, because they are the Melbourne Storm, BUT, it appears they may not have a cakewalk of a division this year, because, just maybe, whisper it, the Jets won't stink.
I would like the Chiefs to be as ridiculously offensive-sided as last year and win it that way.
