NFL 2019

Watched yesterday's game and Cam Newton looks broken.
He's now lost his last 8 games as a starter.
He hasn't thrown a touchdown in his last 4 games. He also hasn't had a rushing touchdown in his last 9 games.
Something's just not right with him. Because of the way he's been used in his career, he's got the wear and tear of a 30 year old running back.

@Sneakdefreak you've changed. I miss the annual "niners will make the Championship game at least"
Stoked it's back! Even though Denver look to be treadmilling this year.
Fucking Brady and the fucking Patriots will probably win, because they are the Melbourne Storm, BUT, it appears they may not have a cakewalk of a division this year, because, just maybe, whisper it, the Jets won't stink.
I would like the Chiefs to be as ridiculously offensive-sided as last year and win it that way.
Jets are a chance of a wild card if Sam Darnold takes another step. The problem is that ourccorners are woeful and we're almost as bad at edge. No pressure on the passer and poor coverage is a recipe for disaster. But just quietly this offence might be good enough to out score the opposition.
Le'Veon Bell should dominate opposition defensive scheming giving Darnold a chance to beat teams in the air. Bell and Montgomery are two of the best pass catching backs in the league. Anderson is a top 5 deep threat and has shown development as a route runner. Herndon is a match up nightmare and could just end up being the best playmaker on offense, and Enunwa and Crowder are both among the top tier of WR 2s in the league. If Gase is as good an offensive mind as his reputation says them this offence will be a nightmare to cover.
This didn't age well..... Sam Darnold is out indefinitely with mononucleosis aka the kissing disease.

Yeah the Jets have a quarterback curse. Smith getting punched out in training camp, Brett Favre's arm, Vinny Testaverde's achilles, Chad Pennington's entire Jets career, Sanchez getting injured in a preseason snoopy bowl, hell Tom Brady's first snap came after Mo Lewis injured Drew Bledsloe so the curse helps other teams QBs
Also, Gase's play calling and offensive scheming was woeful (struggling to get receivers open and Montgomery only gets 4 snaps or so).
Meanwhile we trade for Demaryius Thomas and put Quincy Enunwa on IR with another neck injury.
Tune in next week to find out what else blows up at the New York Garbage Fire. We're in a headlong race to the bottom with the Gaints.

Kyle Shanahan put on an absolute offensive clinic today - 49ers destroy the Bengals 41-17. The bad news for the 49ers is tackle Joe Staley is out 6-8 weeks with a broken leg.
Sheesh, we can't catch a break!!! (no pun intended)

As a Broncos supporter I am shocked to see an offence led by Trevor Siemian suck really hard.
-
@mariner4life and now he's out injured.

Dolphins leaving nothing to chance in their quest to come bottom.

What a disaster. Time for fins fans to wear their paper bag masks

@canefan fans, players, and coaches being chucked under the bus by the front office. why pay for tickets? why sign there?
They are hoping to fully rebuild through next year's draft. They are going to have to because as you say top flight veteran free agents will not consider them. Just those looking to get overpaid and don't care about winning. Josh Rosen must be wondering WTF? If I was him I'd happily be the backup, no sense in getting smashed behind that chump line

I don't mind the Dolphin approach. They've been mediocre for 20 years since Marino retired - constantly competitive but never good. It has got them nowhere.
Is that bad management though? And what's to say they won't screw this up too?? Funny, because I would have thought Miami would be quite an appealing place to live. Yet only the Heat are any good, the Marlins are also rubbish

The problem is it takes years to build a franchise. One draft just isn't enough to rebuild a team. Just look how long the Browns have stunk for. Even now with multiple number one overalls, first round picks and stud free agents/trades they're only middle of the pack.
