LOL, the English 4 looks like Itoje. Meanwhile their 9 is M. Vunipola.
Stand around flapping his arms yelling?

@Stargazer missed the game but thanks for all the updates, the TMO especially sounding like he was doing everything to derail the boys..did we find out where he was from..?
This is how helpful the referee appointments page from WR is: https://officiating.worldrugby.org/index.php?page=appointments&id=108
So not helpful at all, but I found out via the referee net website that the last three on the list are the TMOs.The ref was Andrea Piardi from Italy.
Rasta Rasivhenge was one of the ARs; no idea who the other AR was.
The TMO did sound Argentinian, so I assume it was Santiago Borsani. -
@Stargazer I noticed there was a yellow card along with a red card given out in every game..Gee whiz hope it’s not in danger of the officials becoming the star attractions.

Positives : Newell was outstanding and Finau impressive. Thanks to Funaki who upped the pace, the backline fared better during the second half.
Negatives : the scrum (but these Georgians are particularly beefy up front). The NZ props struggled for the whole game but was it their entire fault ? I guess they did not benefit from a massive support from their diminutive locks. The size of the second row could be a problem versus the big nations.
The lack of power in the second and back rows is a big problem. The driving is done exclusively by the props which is exhausting for them.
The lack of speed in midfield is worrying too. -

Ireland stuck to the task but England looked the more threatening side.
Can World Rugby please stop the subs parading around the park and then all piling on the pitch to celebrate a try.
Fucking annoying.

Odd refereeing, to say the least. No grounding for the first Irish try, dubious onside for the second, blatant offside before the incident which brought the red card ...
Except they all thought there was a grounding. They checked offside for diving on ball once it went back over line and possible offside before Balbreary decided to upend Allison onto his neck is irrelevant to the action.

As I predicted, rotation, rotation, rotation. This, unfortunately, means that some of the few players who stood out in the first game, have now been named on the bench, although the backline includes some of the best players (at 11-15). But, Gregory at fullback? Has he ever played there?
Scotland looked good in their first game against South Africa (big and physical), despite their loss, so it's probably going to be a tough game.
