Good to see Choat getting a start. With Gibson injured (shock!) we need our 3rd openside to have some game time

No Umaga? He's not listed as injured either. He's another that I thought would need game time.

With Kirkpatrick back maybe he'll be the back up flyhalf for the semis? That might explain Umaga's omission

Slightly stronger side than I was expecting.

    Hopefully no more injuries.

    From Southland's FB:

LATE MAIL: Phil Halder has succumbed to a hip injury sustained in Sunday's game and is replaced in the starting XV by Ray Tatafu with captain Tony Lamborn moving to 7. Ben Fotheringham comes into the reserves as forward cover #StagProud #AntlersUp

Hey, at least it's consistent. Aftera ll, they dished one out in the SA NZ test for the same offence, right?

Completely justified. He knocked it down to stop Nanai on the inside.

Not saying it wasn't correct, just saying the law is an arse. 10 mins for that is excessive in my opinion. Who wants to watch 15 on 14?

Up to the player not to infringe so stupidly

They know how it is ruled these days. Agree or not, but knocking down a ball in an attacking situation is a straight yellow.

    Unless you're SA.

Auckland looking a different side this half - playing really open running offloading footy.

I have been impressed with the Auckland wings this year.
