@kiwipie important to note that Sutherland and cricket Aus came up with the 1 year ban in a virtue signalling context. I think the ICC ruled 2 match suspension which seemed pretty consistent with similar rulings.
Just pointing out that the sandpaper incident doesn't necessarily provide a suitable precedent, as you alluded to
Personally I think the court ruling and historic loss of income or status is enough justice. It was just a fight outside a nightclub, similar to thousands of such incidents every weekend.

Hahaha who is this Bumrah fluffybunny bowling for India??
It's the most B-Grade club action i have ever seen
Walk walk skip skip round arm medium pace around the wicket
I'm surprised he's not bowling in black Nike runners

Cracker of a series too. A wee shame this last one was a dead rubber.
The 4 live games featured teams batting for about a day each. The ball swung and seamed but good batting was rewarded and every session seemed intense and worth watching. Games ebbed and flowed throughout and the upper hand basically turned in 30 to 60 minute intervals, constantly.Greenish wickets, dukes balls, fast outfields and bowlers wrist positions on release (seriously) made for great viewing.
Oh and none of the players fucken cried or sobbed in front of media 😗
Cook has been pretty cool throughout his whole career

Check out that Australian test squad to play Pakistan. It's a veritable "who's that?" of Australian cricket.
If that's what follows dominant eras, then I shudder to think what the All Blacks are going to look like in 15 years.

@mariner4life yes however will we replace Luke Whitelock.....

If this is the standard, Luke Whitelock will be the star player.

4 blokes I’ve genuinely never heard of and couple of pyjama specialists.
Khawaja the most experienced batsmen (?) hasn’t even played that many himself, will have to hold the batting together.
And an awful lot will be expected of their 3 experienced bowlers Starc, Siddle and Lyon. -
India tours to caughtcheating land (oh fuck yes, this cow's worth milking for another year at least!🤣) this summer, first test on Dec 6
Kohli's team is different from others. They don't seem so temperamental and look definitely more professional. Not so much bundle dropping anymore and 4-1 vs England doesn't tell a true story. They took 2 tests to suss out batting in England and the poms got real value from Broad, Anderson, and Butler.
But finally the Indians have quicks that can bowl spells. 4th test, India had 4 seamers and 1 spinner, England had 4 and 2 and the Indian batsmen lost that game.
So, for perhaps the first time the injuns go to sandpaper-alia without a reliance on spin and packing seamers for hope. India relied on their pacemen in England so they're quite well conditioned.
Imagine the ovation Kohli would get back home with a series win in the Confederated States of "We know where the line is", then wonder of his motivation
Aussies never lose easy at home mind you, it usually takes a preceding calamity 😉
Nah, that series will be a cracker
