@Chris-B No, it is six games in a row. If they rest Barrett and Todd against the Lions, they can play them in all other 6 games before their next bye. This is already their second mandatory rest week.
This year, All Blacks players were limited to 180 minutes of action through the opening three rounds of Super Rugby and must observe two stand down weeks during the season addition to their team's bye weeks. During the stand down weeks, the player is required to leave the team environment allowing him to switch off and refresh. Players are also limited in how many matches they're allowed to play in a row. While many thought the number was five in a row, Anthony confirmed players could in fact play six in a row. "We had initially talked around five but with some feedback from clubs we revised that to six. If a bye falls in the middle of six games, say in round three, then that restarts back to one again. If it's broken by a bye or rest week then it resets and you can go six again.

@Stargazer I've been reading the wrong articles!
So all the Crusader's ABs will have to miss one game in this stretch. Given our six point buffer I wonder whether Razor was tempted to rest them all in the same game - I think it was the Stormers used to pull that trick occasionally in the days of Super12/14 during their Australasian tour.

Mo'unga inks new three-year deal
One of the rising stars of New Zealand Rugby, All Blacks and BNZ Crusaders first five-eighth Richie Mo'unga, has re-signed with New Zealand Rugby, his Super Rugby club and his Canterbury province, inking a new deal through to 2022. 24-year-old Mo'unga made his provincial debut for Canterbury in 2013 and his Investec Super Rugby debut with the Crusaders three years later. He first played for the All Blacks against a France XV on the Vista Northern Tour in 2017 and made his full Test debut against France last year in Dunedin. He has played nine Tests to date.
All Blacks Head Coach Steve Hansen said: "Congratulations to Richie on his re-signing. He is developing into a very good rugby player and it's great that he's staying, as he is only going to get better and better. "He made a great start last year in his first All Blacks season and we look forward to him going to an even higher level this year. It'll be exciting to watch just how far he can go." BNZ Crusaders Head Coach Scott Robertson added: "Richie is world class - at just 24 years old he's quickly established himself as an integral member of our squad and a leading first five-eighth in Super Rugby. "We're proud of his ability to step up and make big plays under pressure. He's proved that over the past three seasons with the Crusaders and was rewarded for his consistency with selection in the All Blacks. Richie has a big future in the game and it's exciting that his playing future is with the Crusaders."

Pity, cos the Crusaders strike me as being a bit short of quality outside backs...

@Billy-Tell contender for worst post you've ever made, and there's some tough competition.

It’s almost as funny as the guy who has the username Canerbry instead of Canterbury. Cracks me up every time.
