how the hell did we get Goldie, Cullen and Lomu in the team at the same time? That's not fair!
And then Osbourne and Umaga at the same time as well.

@nepia if you hadnt watched him play and looking at his record alone you'd not likely have too many issues with him....126 games for the Crusaders during thier long period of dominance with 290 points (I assume) almost 60 tries, 14 tests, 9 tries (not a bad strike rate)

Yeah, definitely, and he had some good matches at centre for NZ Maori as well - it's when you put him in comparison to all those others listed it's a bit one of these things is not like the other.

according to Wiki he didnt get a try for the Maori, not that this is always a measure.

according to Wiki he didnt get a try for the Maori, not that this is always a measure.
He got an awesome try (or set up one) against the Wallabies but Mark Lawerance pulled it back for some (maybe dodgy) reason.

not to forget Adrian Cashmore who while he wasn't a bad player should not have kept Oz out of the side.
Don't get me started on Hart's fuckwittedness in 99.
Personally I think Hart was more destructive of the AB's than Mitchell/Deans

Up to that point I had paid no attention to rugby, but for some reason I was listening to the commentary on the transistor while I was playing in the back yard. I dont remember his exact words but the commentator's excitement as Smith kept running has stayed with me. Couldn't wait to watch the game on telly later that day. I have been a rugby tragic ever since.
