That's a good backline if the forwards can lay any sort of platform. Hopefully Foley finds his mojo again in the Wallaby jumper.

indeed. on the flip side the irish runners will be licking their lips at Foley-Beale-Kerevi

Reckon Aussie can win this - Ireland rumoured to be resting most of their frontline Leinster contingent and starting Carbery at 10 - he has a better running game than Sexton, but that's about it.

Ireland Team Named For First Test In Australia
The Ireland coaching group have named the matchday squad that will take on Australia in the first Test of the Series at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday morning (11.05 Irish Time). In the absence through injury of Rory Best, Peter O'Mahony will captain the team. O'Mahony first led Ireland on the summer tour to USA and Canada back in 2013. He is joined in the backrow by Jordi Murphy at openside and CJ Stander at No.8. James Ryan and Iain Henderson partner up in the second row. IN the front row Rob Herring wins his 4th cap at hooker packing down alongside Jack McGrath and John Ryan in a new look front row. Rob Kearney is named at fullback and is joined in the back three by Jacob Stockdale and Keith Earls. Robbie Henshaw returns to team and is reunited with Bundee Aki in the centre. Joey Carbery is named at outhalf with Conor Murray as his half-back partner. The replacements named are Sean Cronin, Cian Healy, Tadhg Furlong, Quinn Roux, Jack Conan, Kieran Marmion, Johnny Sexton and Jordan Larmour.

All the Sexton kicking combat strategies have just been flung out.
This should be interesting. Schmidt deciding not to load the gun completely for the first test. The newbies are gonna have to step up.

9 Conor Murray (Garryowen/Munster) 64 caps9-13 is very good. Carbery is obviously green, but has promise. Murray is easily the best scrumhalf in the NH. I don't care how many people vote for Earls, he's a liability and Kearney's best days were a decade ago. The Wallabies will target them. But for that, they'll need some ball.
1 Jack McGrath (St Mary's College/Leinster) 47 caps

8 CJ Stander (Shannon/Munster) 23 capsAnd the Irish backrow will be too strong IMO.
