This AFL season is weird
The Lions kicked the highest losing score of just 78. Three teams kicked less than 50, Freo kicked 53.
Biggest winners the Tigers who basically cemented the Flag by easily taking care of the only other team that may have been able to match them on the MCG; and GWS who seem to be finding form at the right time.
Biggest losers are Sydney, who in the space of two weeks have gone from top 4 to our of the 8. And they look terrible doing it as well.
The team to bow out of the finals race this week was the Crows.

@mariner4life Sydney biggest losers? at least they're still in the 8 ...
... mumble grumble ... leading when I went to bed ... mumble ... playing at home ... grumble ...

they're 9th dude

@mariner4life oops ok read what you wrote. Maybe "still in contention" unlike certain Southstrayans
-
Swans are cooked I reckon. They have a hard draw to close the season and would be underdogs in the remaining games.
One reasonable analysis I read is that it probably wouldn't be a bad thing for the team to miss finals this year. They look tired and could probably do with the rest given their run of finals over the last number of years.

Given the last 15 years, it's so weird to see Sydney, Geelong, and the Hawks all scrambling around the bottom of the 8, with at least one set to miss out.
-
I think Geelong will make it, but they are very hot and cold. Their hot is good enough to beat any team, but if they don't bring it, they are basically North Melbourne....
-
Hawks will too, as their draw is soft.
-
Huge round. Well until Sunday
Richmond v Geelong
Sydney v Collingwood
Hawthorn v Essendon
Adelaid v Port
Freo v West Coast -
They have the bye against the Suns on sunday arvo

What a game and the Cats bottled it. Tigers get up by 3 points. Cats had a chance and Ablett missed a bunny.
-
Three goals in five minutes. Big come back!
-
I thought we may drop this game ,
6 players out of the best 22 , 2 wins clear on the ladder , broke the consecutive wins record at the mcg in the last game , just thought complacency may creep in and the cats in good form.
Happy to hang on to the win .
Gee Chris Scotts press conference was salty , biggest tosser in the afl, bad sport of the highest order .

In terms of quality this is shaping up as the round of the year
-
So Crows beat Port.
...
Not sure if I should be happy ...
- beat Port: good
- too far out of 8: bad
Just teasing us.
Didn't watch as there was a small matter of a Super Rugby Final ...
-
Bloooooooods.
Buddy with a Lebron-esque performance.

5 games so far. Four finished with margin of 4 points or less.
