@muddyriver I guess he's on Super Rugby leave, and apparently is still in the Auckland system. Whilst he's good for depth, I'd like to think we can do better for the match day XXIII.

@muddyriver BTW, do you rate Lindenmuth? I'd also be interested to hear what the Crusaders though of him.

There's a few outside backs you can throw in the mix - Rayasi, Ravouvou, Nanai, I guess Trainor.

Sione Havili and Lyndon Dunshea in the forwards (am I forgetting about an injury?)

@duluth good call - that's some very handy names if they can see enough ball.

    Tanielu Tele'a
    Vince Aso* (may be injured)
    Tumua Manu
    Salesi Rayasi
    Caleb Clarke
    Melani Nanai
    Joe Ravouvou
    Jordan Trainor* (may be injured)

    Also competing for spots:

    Otumaka Mausia
    AJ Lam
    Nikolai Foliaki
    Loketi Manu
    Hawaii Ahokovi

@duluth Think Dunshea has been injured. Expect Havili to be in there, and maybe Dunshea.

If the front-row turns out to be good, and lock and 1st 5 depth isn't a problem, then that team should make the semis and have a good crack at the final.

Not sure about Aso. I think I saw a post in instagram (stories) last week with him back in hospital for another surgery. That's if I'm not confusing him with Matt Proctor or another injured Hurricane. It's a pity those insta stories disappear after a while. Can't check it now.

@tim Also Tele'a as a midfielder - but I haven't heard much about him since he came back from the U20 World Cup due to suspension?

@stargazer Aso's last surgery post on Instagram was on 29 May.

@tim Apparently Tele'a got called in by the Blues when he got back from France and aggravated his knee injury. He was held back by ARFU from playing the last couple of rounds of the club season to ensure the knee was 100%
Word is he will get a run against BOP on Friday.
Also hearing Sione Havili has been loaned out?

I don't get loaning out Havili, he's the perfect bench guy for us this season as he can play all 3 backrow positions. With Gibson and Papali'i being injury prone, it'd make even more sense to keep him around.

I hope we don't keep the ancient Auva'a around instead.

Nice. Happy with some fresh blood in the front row.

Good to see Taina Fox-Matamua on the bench - I read he was very strong in the club final.
