England vs BCs ODI series

Well done Kane. Only criticism of him was that perhaps he should have tried to be more aggressive one over earlier than he did. England can count themselves to be incredibly lucky, had Sathner not gone out I think the BCs would have done it fairly comfortably.

Who the hell have we got to come into this batting order, starting with no.6.
How’s glass man Anderson?
I’m really struggling to think of any decent batters on the domestic circuit.
I don't think we have many international calibre batsmen waiting in the wings. Maybe move CdG up to 6, Santner to 7 and add a bowler (who can bat a bit) at 8 like Matt Henry.
-
@sneakdefreak Why would we add a bowler when our middle order batting is the main problem right now? Taylor for Chapman and dare I say it Bruce for Nicholls until Anderson is fit.

Colin DeGrandhomme can poke right off now. That was the fucking dummest out of the night.
He was also one of the best bowlers of the game, so he gets a bit of a pass.
But yeah his dismissal was horrendous.

Because Henry can score more runs than Nicholls (or Bruce). Your only other options (at least from I can find) is George Worker or:
-
@sneakdefreak I would be more than happy to see fat boy Ryder back. Anyone but Nicholls.
-
@akan004 no fucking way, not Bruce.
I’d be happy for them to stick Chapman at 6 for a while and see how he goes.
He was a bit nervy tonight, but I think there is something about him that says he’s got it.Other than that, I dunno...
Ask the hairy javelin to come out of retirement?

Me too but I think fat boy has burnt too many bridges.
-
@sneakdefreak nailed it.
Worker. He’s our man, get him in there.
Chapman after him. -

Chapman after him.I haven't seen much of him but those in the know say he's a big hitter (and a decent backup spinner?).

He’s done Ok in his limited opportunities. Got a couple of 50s earlier in the summer against WI or Pak didn’t he?

What's the story with Nesham? Still on his break?
Think he's become a professional tweeter these days.

I agree about Chapman. From watching him domestically and in the last few innings I like the cut of his jib. He's got a cocksure confidence about him that I like.
Things to work on naturally but worth a decent go I reckon.
