Shoud have given himself and Munro at least an over each.
Was surprised he didn't bowl himself given we were a spinner short
Especially as Sodhi has been the best bowler. No variations but slow pace forces the batters to hit out

Munro. Forgot about Mr Tricky! Kane totally out thought
That presumes that he was even thinking tonight.
That went from a dream game to a complete pile of shit

Is that the biggest choke in 20/20 history?
Firstly they should have made 250 from where they were after 15 overs but then to serve up that shit in the field. Bowling wides and full toss no balls has nothing to do with good batting, it's just shit execution. Why the fuck Wheeler was brought back on after getting carted in his first 3 overs i will never know. Shit captaincy. -
Mitch Santner is a smart cricketer!
We made a couple of questionable calls with the batting line-up. I understood the logic of sending out Seifert to replace Munro - but, when he went out, I thought we should have sent out de Grandhomme and followed him with Taylor.
Bowling - none of our guys were particularly good, but those two bouncers by Boult and Wheeler that went for five wides apiece during the power play really helped to give Oz impetus and get them ahead of the run rate. Aside from that - there were some streaky shots that went for boundaries when we needed them to take wickets.
Rather than shrugging shoulders and remembering that it is a day when bowlers are going to get pounded our guys looked a bit panicked, bowled some rubbish and got hit harder.
I guess Kane looked at the treatment that Short got as the sixth bowler and thought it was a night to stick with his specialists - but, really, it was worth a try to bowl an over of dobblies from Munro, when his specialists were being spanked anyway.
Pretty grim night for Wheeler - on the plus side he went for the same number of runs as Tye - and he's got a million dollar IPL contract!

During one of the latter overs, Boult bowls two yorkers in a row which goes for a run each ball and then decides to bowl length balls for the rest of the over and gets spanked. That's just plain stupid and something you shouldn't expect from an experienced guy like Boult.
I also don't get the rationale behind keeping DeGrandhome for the last few overs only. When you find yourself at 130 odd with eight overs to go and only one down, you bring him in you silly muppets. Whether he kills it with the bat from overs 13-15 (and gets out) or overs 18-20 makes absolutely no difference to the scoreboard, but if he has one of those days and stays in till the 20th, then imagine what sort of a score you end up with by bringing him in early. But nah, let's just give him a couple of overs at the end (if he even gets a chance to bat) and compromise our hitting power.
This is one hell of a stupid team.
