Japan RWC2019 - Tickets and Info

Agreed @MajorRage
Also, particularly for this RWC, if you have never been to Japan before you want to plan your own itinerary. Japan is my favorite holiday destination, and there are so many things to do. Some of the best times are just wandering around suburbs exploring (say Shimokitazawa or Kichijoji in Tokyo, or Shinsaibashi in Osaka). Japan has something for all tastes - high tech, video games, shrines and temples, gardens, awesome food, craft beers, naked public bathing...

Result of the ballot for bundled tickets is released on Monday
Fingers and toes firmly crossed for this one.
Moderately hopeful in the sense that I don't really know how many locals will be that motivated to buy tickets more than 18 months out from the event. We shall see.
Agreed re travelling independently around Japan. The train system is such that you seldom need to book anything in advance, business hotels are pretty cheap and there are tons of different things you can busy yourself with.

Got the bundle for the 3 pool games in Oita.
Wallabies vs Uruguay
All Blacks vs Qualifier
Wales vs FijiMissed out on the All Blacks bundle unfortunately.
Going to have a crack at single game tickets in May once the ballot becomes available.
Oita will go off over those few days. Now to start thinking about accommodation!
-
Tickets for individual games go on sale in May. Will see what I can get, Oita will be a piss trip but want to take my son to a game somewhere as well. Doesn't really matter who is playing so might try getting tickets to see some of the minnows.

Still baffled by the AB Tours package for the Oita game with hotel in Fukuoka given that transfers aren't part of the deal.
Game at 7.15pm kickoff with stadium 30 minutes from Oita train station.
Last possible train out of Oita for Fukuoka leaves at 9.43pm. Might take a while to get out of the stadium and I don't fancy people's chances of getting to the station on time.
I've pointed this out to them but I doubt they will listen. Still if they have any sense they will pull this package until they come up with a more satisfactory accommodation option. Plenty of resort style hotels just up the road from Oita in Beppu.

@rugger-quizzes Are those trains on the regular time table? If so, won't there be any extra trains, like they do here for special events?
-
@stargazer Unlikely there would be any special trains but I could be wrong.
9.43 is last scheduled express to Hakata (Fukuoka)
-
Word is there could be special trains back from Oita to Fukuoka but I still wonder how many people are up for 6 hours of travel on a game day. Time will tell.

RWC site shows priority tickets being released on May 19 to Supporters' Clubs (Do ABs have one)/Front Row(English RFU) members.
Keen to see if an NZ angle.
Anyone in the know?
Maybe "Team All Blacks" counts as one?

Log in to your account, should be able to see how you got on in the latest ballot.
I got all the ABs playoff games, assuming they win their group.
And Japan v Russia, the opening game, and Japan v Scotland.
Sorted!
Faaark - I got jack-shit.
Applied for 11 games, got 3...
Georgia-Fiji, NZ-Africa1, Wales-Fiji
Karma for my gloating when I got every single game I applied for in 2015?
