Invitational, provincial, local & school sevens tournaments

Tomorrow is the Ignite 7s tournament in Waitakere (Trust Arena). This tournament follows a few days of intensive testing of approx. 96 young athletes (not just rugby players). More on that in the article below.
There have been several changes to the teams that I posted earlier in this thread here. As the All Blacks website only seems to know the names of sons of former All Blacks, they mention only one of these changes:
There have been several changes to the eight respective men’s and women’s squads – Inferno, Bolt, Surge and Power - named prior to the tournament with a number of players withdrawn after medical checks during the registration process. Among the players not to make it to the start line was recently contracted All Blacks Sevens player Niko Jones who has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury. Jones will remain with his Inferno team for the week but will be unable to take part in the tournament.
I've only checked the Hawke's Bay players, and Lincoln McClutchie is one of the other players no longer appearing in the team lists, so either he is also injured, or he is training with the HB 7s squad, or maybe the Canes have asked him to join them for preseason .
You can check the updated team lists here: https://www.ignite7.co.nz/teams/
The games will be broadcast on Sky Sport 1 tomorrow. This is the draw:

The Condor Sevens are this week, with the U15 boys and girls starting on Thursday, 29 November, and the Open boys and girls tournament starting on Saturday.
Sky Sport will cover Field #1 of the Open Division:

Here is the provisional draw for the Open boys & girls tournament. Note they've messed up a few games (boys v girls teams, or they've just typed it wrong). You may need extra strong glasses to be able to read it.

Regional Sevens Qualifiers
Saturday, 1 December 2018
- Northern Region Qualifier: Memorial Park, Cambridge
- Central Region Qualifier: Playford Park, Levin
- Southern Region Qualifier: Alpine Stadium, Timaru
I understand the tournaments will be livestreamed (maybe not all games; will post the links when available).
Full draws have not been published yet.
Northland have just announced their men's team (not sure whether they have a women's team). From other provinces, I've only seen wider training squad lists.

I have found my new favourite player, the North Harbour No. 13 will do me, even without ever having seen him play. Not likely too either as aren't 7s squads limited to twelve?
EDIT: Oops see Harbour have only named 12 as there is no jersey number nine so we might get to see him play after all. -
@higgins Puppy used to play for my mighty Ponsonby (Gallaher Shield Champions, Gods of Thunder, Masters of the Universe). He is much more fierce than the name suggests!

That is actually quite a list of names. Harbour are captained by a 50+ year old MP but have their own BFA which is pretty cool.
I am unsure what an untidy Berry would look like a but Anita one is always good.
Actually there are quite a few more there, but I won't go on or will have to put this in the "names" thread.
Well maybe Pita Volavola (who may well be a top bloke) does sound like something that you might have for lunch.

He went through school with that name - he must be as tough as! Should probably be a boxer not a rugby player.

couple of pretty harsh YCs in the Waikaot-CM game (One each way) CM come through with a try on FT to win

Auckland beat NOrthland 17-12, score pretty flattering for Northland.
LIke the look of Potolaka Maake who @Steven-Harris said to keep an eye on, Northland need to give him the ball, or just get some ball!!
-
@taniwharugby not to mention dealing with kick offs, there’s some pace in this young Northland team, but you need to get a hold of some ball..!

Central Zone
Final ranking men:
Wellington, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu, Taranaki, Wairarapa Bush, Wanganui, Horowhenua-Kapiti (IIRC, the first 5 qualify for the Nationals)Final ranking women:
Manawatu, Wellington, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki (all qualify for the Nationals). One team pulled out of the tournament late, I think it was Poverty Bay, but not sure..
Unfortunately, the outcome of the Nationals may again be influenced by the availability of AB7s and BF7s players, who are not spread evenly over the teams, especially now that they are centralised.
