Man City had a goal disallowed on HT due to a bad ref/AR error. A 2-0 lead going into the 2nd half would have made the tie very different.
Looked like the AR talked to the ref and said "well he's offside, who did the ball come off?" which means the ref must have said it came off a City player. That sort of decision is the reason why people want the VAR

Forget about the Champions League - the BIG news is Fulham are up to 2nd in the Championship after a win over Reading. Cardiff lost at Villa and have only picked up 1 from last 3 games to be a point behind the Cottagers. They do have a game in hand though and an easy run in apart from Derby.
Fulham have 2 London derbys and then two relegation contenders put have put together a run of 18 unbeaten in the Championship (4 draws). Playing attractive footy and really deserve promotion so hoping like hell we avoid the play-off lottery having been badly burned last year.
If we don't go up I expect our team will be picked apart over the summer.

Didn't Fulham do something similar last season to make the play-offs? But started their run earlier this time.
Ryan Sessegnon will definitely go somewhere, promotion or not. The kid isn't 18 until May and has already played over 50 games for Fulham and has played for England from U-16 to U-21.

City have fallen in a heap over the last week.
Winning both legs is pretty sweet. And i watched the last part of the game. City camped in Liverpool's end, but surprisingly the defenders in Red looked organised and not panicked

@kiwipie Hush yr mouth you snake of Apollo
Sessegnon is Fulham through and through - there's a faint chance we might keep him for another year if we get promoted. Zero if we don't
You are quite right we had a late season run to make the playoffs last season. This year it started before Xmas. It's part why I dread the play-offs. Beat Newcastle home and away. Beat Huddersfield home and away by 10 goals. Beat Reading by 5 Have one poor game and that's your season fucked

Pfft. Excellent refereeing.

You won't be saying that if a controversial decision cost Liverpool in the SFs.
As long as Real don't win - again.

It was said firmly tongue in cheek. I think we would still have progressed even if that goal stood.

City confirmed as champs with Man U losing this morning.
Best result of the weekend is Newcastle beating Arsenal, and thus Rafa getting them past the 40-point mark. Fuck i love Rafa.

This season it could be even lower with Stoke and Southampton unable to win (Stoke losing a 1-0 lead to draw with West Ham this morning). Newcastle now in the top half, that's excellent with the squad they have.
It was very amusing for United to deny City the title with a comeback from 2-0 down and then lose at home to the worst team in the league to hand it to them. West Brom now have more wins than managers this season - yay! (and they won their first 2 league games!)

Wenger leaving at the end of the season ... probably a few seasons too late to not tarnish his legacy somewhat.
In time the fans will appreciate what he gave to the club. They will pine for bygone days if the next manager can't take the club forward

I'm happy Wenger gets to leave on his own terms. You can argue he should have left a few years ago but there was never a top class manager lined up to replace him. Wenger is the most successful Arsenal manager (yes, better than Herbert Chapman), so thanks for the memories.
I've just been reading some of the messages from former/current players. All very glowing, and it appears Wenger was just as influential off the pitch for many of the foreign players.
