NFL 2017

@canefan @Sneakdefreak I'd save the $ and roll with Beathard or a draft pick if Beathard isn't the guy.
Cousins is going to take a ton of $ which could be better spent on other players. Plus I don't think he leaves Washington anyway.
QBs on rookie contracts allows you more money to spend on others. This is how the Seahawks did it with Russel Wilson.
Let's wait and see what Beathard does in the next 10 games. Ideally he'll be the guy so the 49ers can focus on other areas in next years draft and even trade down for a ransom of picks to other teams desperate for a QB.

I looked at the score online and saw the Raiders were down 30-24 with 24 seconds left and just assumed the Chiefs had the defence to win the game.
AFC West is looking to be the best division this year. Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders....even the Chargers are doing ok....
-
49ers getting pumped by the Cowboys. 0-7 it is.
Cardinals lose their QB Carson Palmer to a broken arm. Key players are falling like flies this season.
-
Awesome that Duke TV has NFL on Mondays. New England Patriots are doing well in their Superbowl rematch against Atlanta Falcons. Score is 10-0 in the second quarter.
-
And now the fog is rolling in....
-
Falcons disappear in the fog too, Pats win 23-7.

I'm more positive on this move - I remember Garoppolo getting rave reviews in the leadup to his draft and he got drafted in the same round as Derek Carr - the Raiders franchise QB.
This isn't some knee jerk move - Kyle Shanahan's two favourite QBs from the 2014 draft were Garoppolo and Derek Carr (and as Browns Offensive Coordinator he got stuck with Johnny Manziel).
Garoppolo isn't some round 7 pick like Cassell or headcase like Ryan Mallet.
From what I have read Patriots wanted to sign Garoppolo to sign a new contract but he wanted to play (and Brady shows no sign of retiring) so the Patriots wanted to get something for him before he walked in Free Agency.
