Chiefs v B&I Lions

Just got home. Had a feeling that kind of result was coming almost as soon as the squad was named and yeah...
Beaver had the worst game he's played since he came back, TNW is not a centre and the backline as a whole played like the patchwork backline it was. Worst player had to be Polwart though. Fucked up so many lineouts it wasn't funny. Though having said that, I don't think I saw a single straight Lions throw in.
Really looking forward to the ABs sending those pricks packing.

Man oh man oh man. So, so disappointed by that game, even with a seriously understrength Chiefs team, they were bad with a few exceptions. The dropped balls, ye gods, and the shite lineouts. Most of the guys looked like the third stringers that they are. The ginge halfback was great though, nippy and fearless.
Also, that dirty Lions munter with the mullet, can fuck right off.

Rapido's post was about an earlier declined shot but the turnaround from 20-9 to 27-6 was the ending of the contest.
Kicking to the corner just seems such a low percentage option.
Rugby remains a simple game and you've got to take the points when they're on offer.

Was really good when he came on.
Either that or Rennie really didn't care about this game and used it mainly for development (hence no Dmac, Ngatai, Lowe etc)

Was getting wound up during the game about it. Certainly seemed to have an inherent bias in his rulings. Perhaps based on what he thought should happen.

They're not dominating up front but they're certainly edging it. And you'd expect that.

Lawes has been impressive. I'd have started him and Kruis on Saturday eith Itoje off tge bench. But I'd have to say two head knocks in two weeks may be enough to earn a plane ride home.

Do wonder if other teams are using same concussion protocols as us given we seem to have much more players sitting out from head knocks
