Must be something in the water over at Tauranga.
Both Burling and Kane Williamson went to school together.
Both have gone onto useful careers it would be fair to sayCane was a year behind them too wasn't he? Not bad to turn out at all.
-
@Hooroo you'd have to think it was a very smart decision to do training in Auckland and arriving when they did, if they had been racing them all along surely it would have given them better opportunity to realize the changes they needed to make.
Yeah I actually like Spithill, suits the antagonist role perfectly, and he was very gracious, whereas Dalton was less so when it came to Spithill.
I can go back to knowing nothing about sailing now

Right, so i just found out this is finished AND that an Aussie is skippering your little boat.
So, in honour of @Virgil and his ongoing assertions that any Kiwi who walks within shouting distance of a successful venture is directly responsible for it:
FUCK YEAH AUSTRALIA! WON THE AMERICAS CUP! SHOULD FUCKEN RENAME IT "STRAYA CUP MATE"!
Etc.
On a serious note: gotta say that keeping the boat out of the water for a whole run is pretty impressive work by the crew.
-
I should be happy. But meh.
My Swiss work colleagues were more interested, which is telling.

Imagine the current boats in those conditions.
Pretty impressive to watch, still

@Donsteppa fuck I remember hearing about that - if only we'd had a random Kiwi walk past our shed before the start, and look at it for three seconds.
Could have won that year to zip.
You needed @virgil to bestow an aura on it.
@hooroo - yep don't think they'd be foiling much in those conditions!
