@jk i just meant the conditions helped keep them close over the first leg, one had a lift and then the other got one
Yeah still not relevant. I was talking about all LV races before. Not the AC races (ie between these two) which for the majority have been pretty tight.

Just love how close these two boats are compared to all the LV races we saw before
wasn't a big deal mate, was just replying to this bit

looks like Burling got the start he wanted, first blood
The apprentice has become the master. Outstanding work to set up the race. Commentary team saying there hasn't been a pass on this course!
-
both helmsman thanking the race organisers straight away, nice touch

“Kiwis can fly” - how long has the comm waited to say that?
That's been bandied about even during the Toyota ads, hasn't it?
But I do love listening to this part of the event, listening for the obvious rehearsed attempts to create a sound-bite la-la Montgomery.
Keep trying, chumps, that's never gonna be surpassed. -

Given the incredibly difficult year Italy has had with Covid, Team Luna Rossa were absolutely fantastic. So much respect for them.
fought so hard with what was eventually a slower boat. Great series, great racing, great fun. See y'all in 2 years

i hope its only 2 years, would be cool but any new teams wouldn't need longer wouldn't they?
