@canefan Definitely, although Nacewa was pretty good. If he didn't get capped by Fiji, he might've stayed in NZ longer, and we might've got an extensive run with him at 10.
I never really saw the fuss about Isa. I thought he was a decent 10 and 15 but wasn't brilliant at either. I'd still take him over Tasesa Lavea

I dont think Evans ever played for Auckland NPC.
I think you're correct. The RWC would have interfered with that.

Evans played for North Harbour, not Auckland.
North Harbour, then Otago. Coming to the Blues coincided with the 2007 RWC. He then moved to Harlequins in late 2008...

Hi Wiki page says he played 26 times in 2007/2008 for Auckland with 391 points....seems a large number of games for someone going to the 2007 RWC.

@taniwharugby Jesus Christ, memory wipe.

Probably from the same statistician who has Ardie at 6' something...

Yeah you're correct and that wiki entry is wrong
Evans signed with the Blues and Auckland for the 2008 season. Nacewa earned the flyhalf spot for the Blues and Evans moved to fullback.
Then Evans took an out clause and buggered off before playing for Auckland in the NPC.. Not long after Nacewa also decided it was a great time to leave. Leaving Auckland with Lachie Munro
