Warriors play there
-
if this was rugby we would be looking at endless replays of the tackles on Lolohea to see if it was late, if there was a shoulder...instead, ref made a call and got on with things.
-
Tonga have had plenty of chances but nowhere near clinical enough.
-
Again really highlights how unprofessional the Kiwis were compared to Aus and England.
-
Poms milking the clock there
-
seems a little too late...
-
Holy shit!!!!
-
wow!
-
Taumalolo, man against kids, what a run.
-
Unbelievable finish to the game, fark me.
-
England shut up shop in that final quarter and almost paid for it
-
There will be riots in Otahuhu tonight.
@Stargazer The English player didn't play at the ball so it's a loose carry (=knock-on).
-
I'm 50/50 on whether it was a strip or Fifita just carried the ball loose, but the ref should have gone to the TMO to double check.
Australia V England. Prediction: Australia 47 England 6

A check would have just seen the same result as it was just a loose carry and the English player was just making a tackle, and the Aussie Islander Indigenous Bogan would have done his nut a few minutes later.
Damn, Taumalolo would have been able to carry even the Kidwell coached Kiwis to the final (if Kidwell let him on the field).

What about using the TMO to check other things then? I remember the ref calling a knock-on at the play-the-ball when it was clear the marker punched the ball out. That happens a lot so I think the officials believe that the onus is on the ball-carrier to hold onto the ball securely.
