Great tournament from these young players! Left nothing to doubt, very convincing victory. Some awesome talent on show. Easy to imagine that several of these players will make it into Super Rugby and then the All Blacks. Really looking forward to watching these players develop further. Proud moment.

Excellent win. Good tournament overall.
Enjoyed some of the close matches throughout the tornamanent. Georgia's win was a highlight.

If I were the Blues,I would be all over Aumua, the man is human wrecking ball machine.
can't believe he was'nt nominated as one of the players of the tournament.although Jordon & Falcon have been superb,my unsung heros have been the tight five, after a shaky start earlier in the tournament, especially defending lineout drives, the set piece scrum & lineout in the main, has been very solid..I wonder if there will be a tournament team named..?

Watching the replay now , 30 mins in , accidentally saw the result first on Fb ,
A little surprised with the one sided nature , the score ATM 26-7 doesn't quite reflect the ease they are doing it , some great skills -

Is it just me or is South Africa making a 'comeback' on the world rugby stage a lot sooner than people expected?
I hope so.
When I watched one game from 8 to 15 they were all "of colour" plus some of the tighties, and many of them looked good.
Surprised they lost the semi. -
Jordan, Clarke, Falcon, Enari, Jacobson, Walker Leawere and Aumua are the standouts of this team. Lindenmuth and Rakete Stones were excellent in the tight. Tu'u, Papaali'i and Fainganukuu are OK, too. Midfield solid but not brillant. Substitutes not at the same level.

My tip to young players. Let the opposition player get up in their own time. A try scorer under a pile up has been happening for 150 years before you fluffybunnies started ruining these moments by .... being fluffybunnies .... and yanking disappointed opposition players out of the way for your un-waitable celebration.
Dicks.

Great to win the tournament again.
We won't know how good these players are until a few years time when they graduate to Super rugby and beyond.
The 1995 NZ Colts is still the gold standard with no less than 16 players who became ABs. Notable players in that squad were Meeuws, Spencer, Oliver, Hoeft, Randell and Cullen.

Massive gap in points scored and tries scored between NZ and the rest. Sink the opposition with tries. Lovely.

Maybe it's just me but does anyone else wish the U20s had employed rush defence and a gameplan based around boxkicks? Too many tries for my liking. Just saying.

Yes. The 1995 colts, along with the 1989 colts and 2011 U20s stick out for me as great age grade teams I've seen.

I hope so. Think they have realised the can't remain stuck in the past with their selections and game-plans. Lots of quality non-white players seem to be coming through, which will help, as they can be selected on merit and not tokenism.

@Rapido Didn't the U19s in 1999 have a ridiculous squad? Mils, Richie, Jerry, A Mauger and i am sure a few others
I don't remember 1999.
I was backpacking.
