I loved that pitch. Was a fantastic test to watch. Great fun.

Not all the time, though, I suppose.

I find the traditional Indian wicket to be boring as. Win toss and bat for almost 2 days (if your good enough).

I liked all the pitches for NZ tour to India , just frustrated we lost all the tosses. They were interesting enough to give the poorer team a chance if they won the toss.

I said earlier in the year, i prefer that pitch to the fucking roads of Australia. They had to change the timing and the ball to make Adelaide tests watchable.

I'm sure the BCCI are devo over a $20K fine

It obviously wasn't impossible to bat on, otherwise how did Smith get a ton?

A few dropped catches and complete misunderstanding of DRS helped 😉

I'd say the majority of hundreds scored require at least one, if not more fairly significant pieces of luck.

On a side note it was great to see India get fucked by the DRS.

    Yeah I'm with you guys.

The pitch was a bit rough but it was great to watch. And it was great to see a 100 that was a real fucking achievement.

I wouldn't want it every week, but it was a bit of fun I thought.

India captain out without playing a shot for the second straight innings, this time leg before to...

Not sure if you can see the vid on this page, but this is basically it in a nutshell:

Other than that - Test fairly evenly poised, even though India are scoring slowly.

118/3 after 47 but they longer they bat, the harder it is for us to bat.

That's about the worst review I can remember. After watching the first replay he basically walked off the field before balltracker was ready. A review of sheer arrogance.

Even Shane Watson may not have reviewed that.

True, Watson wouldn't have walked after that first replay.

@mariner4life to be fair to @Donsteppa Watson never got himself in that position - he would have had the front foot down the pitch.

India losing regular wickets - now 156/5 and will be hoping their hero Ashwin stays there for a couple of hours. Tea imminent, India 156/5

Lyon has 6 as India are now 188/8 - last 10 overs have been 18/3

Opener Rahul is inching toward a ton, but might run out of partners.

But, as he does start to run out of partners, he goes for a big one and fluffs it. Lyon with 7 now.

8 for Lyon. India down for under 200 again.

Now to see if we've got our shit together.

Aussie finish the day with 40 on the board and 10 wickets in hand.

0/40 at stumps. Pretty much the perfect day, though I expect Ashwin to cause us some trouble in the next few days.

We'll want to get a big lead as batting 4th on this will be a nightmare.

Yep. They're finding it tough with a bit of the rough for Ashwin to work in, though you have to wonder why Warner didn't just pad it away and have a go at them for negative bowling.

Renshaw might not be clobbering the fuck out of it, but that's not what we need right now. Bat for two days and then get at them on a deteriorating wicket is more important.

Time for Smarsh to earn his spot

    This is compelling.

Pitch looks very hard to bat on, and the Indians have bowled really well. We need a lead of 50+ at least, but not sure how likely that is.
