@jegga To paraphrase 'I am gutted cos we couldn't australia enough for you fans. The next coach should ozzie even more FTW!'
You have to marvel at the level of denial and cuntitude that makes Krusty put results in quotation marks.
We were not good enough to come away with victory and we are all judged by ‘results’ but as we’ve said to each other before inside our dressing room – your worthiness comes from believing in yourself implicitly first, then results will come from that. I have been honoured and proud to serve you all.

@jegga You get an upvote for introducing me to the word fluffybunnyitude

What kind of bullshit is going here? How is it that Castle thinks it's a good idea to not only undermine her coach by inviting players to a gala dinner, without his knowledge, behind is back but then also blame the entire WC failure on someone her employer is currently locked in a legal stoush with??
Izzy's lawyers will be loving this shit. He wasn't there but is being blamed for the failure...
-
@Machpants it is to an extent "click bait" but its does not remove the fact that she makes mention of him and it's effect on the team. Thats not what you say when this type of legal situation is playing out. you simply don't comment.

That article is pretty ridiculous.
She was clearly asked in an interview if the Folau saga had an effect on the team. And her answer was correct - it certainly wasn't helpful!
But that is a long, long way from blaming him for their demise.
That was my take too.
In much the same vein the original headline was Phil Waugh UNLOADS on Cheika, except he really just answers a question

Nov 6 (Reuters) - Rugby Australia (RA) said on Wednesday it has appointed a panel to review the Wallabies 2019 season, which saw coach Michael Cheika stand down after their World Cup quarter-final defeat to England.
The panel will consist of former Australia internationals Pat Howard and Nathan Sharpe, and four-time Olympian Bo Hanson, and will work with RA Director of Rugby Scott Johnson to deliver the review over the next month. It had been tasked with reviewing the entire Wallabies program and World Cup campaign and delivering feedback that will be used for the 2020 international season and future Rugby World Cup and Olympic Games campaigns, RA said.
Pat Howard eh?
-
@antipodean Exactly what I was thinking.

@antipodean said in Aussie Rugby:
The same Pat Howard that oversaw Australian cricket's low ebb? The same one Warney called a muppet?
Why he seems a perfect announcement from RA.
Crazy
I mentioned his name a couple of weeks ago as a joke

@NTA and @barbarian and any other Aussie TSF members:
There was a time not so long ago where as a Saffa I was extremely jealous of Australian rugby administration.
With a relatively small base of players, Aussie rugby somehow managed to produce excellent results both in Super Rugby and at international level.
The Brumbies back in their glory days were the epitome of this for me.What, if anything has changed?
