Auckland vs BOP

Fuck me our forwards are playing like pussies like we have all year. Nick White has got to go as we are a very poorly coached outfit that relies on individual brilliance. Our set piece is non-existant.
Joe Tupe's game has gone up about 4 levels this year. He's been fantastic.

Geez we made that hard for ourselves. Shocking substitutions towards the end there.

@mimic Yeah not his best outing but he can't do it all the time. Josh Kaifa was impressive and might be worth keeping there for the season as Gibson is injured yet again.
Suprised Liaki Moli played the full 80. The guy is a shocking tackler and I would have kept Fatialofa on instead. Can't be bothered moaning about our useless front row.
We'll do well to make the semis with 3 tough games coming up which I wouldn't be suprised if we lost all of them (not that it really matters as Canterbury are runaway leaders again).

Another strange game under the trial laws. Both sides scored a try pretty much every time they got possession in the opposition 22, virtually no ruck turnovers all game, it is just like league without a 6 tackle limit. 6 tries each was it by the end? Crazy.
Ref very lenient towards Auckland while they were under pressure - still can't believe there was penalty try or card when we were virtually over the line from a scrum and the Auckland players dived on it. We scored soon after so not a huge issue.
Our defence was shocking, Some good ball runners buy some terrible defensive reads had them running into open space.
When Haimona left for Italy, I was always surprised he ended up playing for Italy as I thought he wasn't very good. He comes back from Italy and I still don't think he is very good.
Tupe was outstanding and has been all season. Losing Axtens overseas was a blessing ....

@Dice said in Auckland vs BOP:
Eklund's playing drunk.
I'm not sure why he is rated in the Auckland system? There's at least 3 former Auckland hookers playing for other NPC sides that I would select over Eklund.

we’ve gone from only enough backs, and now they’re starting to come back. But the flip side is now we’re losing a few forwards
The set piece will continue to struggle until GPT and Prattley come back. At least the backs managed to blow some cobwebs out.
The defence has been a mess all year. At least as bad it was at the start of last season. Last year it improved after we brought in Pollock..
From a distance it seems that Polwart should be starting his coaching career at a lower level than NPC
