Black Caps in India

Bit rough on Wagner.. isn't he our best bowler on the ICC rankings?
I guess Boult and Henry looked a bit more threatening in the last test. I'm starting to think we should have picked Sodhi instead of Henry and opened the bowling with Boult and Neesh.

India have not lost any of their last 7 home tests when they lose the toss. No one has won in India since 2012 when they win the toss.

Just imagine how bad this would be looking without Jeets.
Selectors vindicated by that one spell alone.
Impressive batting from Kohli and Rahane. Just as impressive was Guptil surviving those 9 overs

Martin Guptill take a bow, just goes to show if you give a guy a million chances he'll come right ( could use that logic if, god forbid, any of us were called into the national team but still.....)
( in the tune of 'Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby" by the Kaiser Chiefs ) "Guppy, Guppy, Guppy GUPPY !!!!!"

@MN5 a 100-run opening stand? in India? What is this witchcraft?
Get on the Guppy bandwagon while it lasts, the guy is a bonafide champ !
A black caps century opening stand is still a rare moment to cherish......

FUCK! my bad everybody

Playing for a draw here and doing okay.
I'm not sure what else we could've been playing for....

Sporting clichés......
"experiencing indian conditions and umpires...."
"time in the middle for less experienced guys....."
"We lost the series 2-0 but fought hard in the last and the young guys will learn a lot from this....."feel free to add any others you see fit.

Poor Guppy

Ashwin to Ronchi, OUT, has Guptill been run out at the non-strikers' end? He has! What an awful way to go. He was backing up, and having seen his partner drill a superb straight drive, he probably had the right to. But Ashwin reaches to his right, gets just enough of a deflection - only the tip of his ring finger met the ball - that made sure the ball didn't go to the boundary and instead hit the stumps
MJ Guptill run out 72 (144b 10x4 2x6) SR: 50.00 -
Guppy just 100% cannot buy a trick. I actually felt really bad for him today, he looked set for a ton.
Rosco's massive dip in form post Zimbabwe continues, what's going on there?
Numbers 3-5 gave us 8 runs. Chasing 557... eek.
