@stargazer From the podcast:
Apparently there will be three of them, and players will need to attend two. Players involved will not be available to train with their super rugby teams until the captain's run, if their game is in NZ. If they are supposed to tour South Africa, then they will not be available at all.
Super Rugby coaches are not happy ...

If it helps the ABs play better than 2017, i am all for it.
They played better in 2016 than in 2017 without training camps during the SR season.

your sentence is meaningless as a reply to mine.
I am hardly the best person to argue about the impacts of this thought, given i didn't even remember who won the comp last year, and i have zero faith in the Chiefs even making the playoffs.

Might be time to rationalise and reduce the number of teams.

@tim said in Quality Rugby Podcast/Panel:
@rapido Analysis was undercut by only considering the subsequent play. Taking a 5m lineout often results in an attacking scrum or multiple penalties.
Interesting. May have to listen, because I'm firmly in the 'take the three' camp. Just get the points, get the ball back, and go down and do it all again.

I've just started my own pod on GAGR. Very Aussie-focused obviously, but some may find it interesting.
