I can tell who is winning by looking at my face in the mirror, compared with those in the crowd!

But, we still need to get Pant.

    Young nearly caught Jadeja!

    Believe!!!!!

    Nope. Give me more

Don't you dare start believing now!!!! 🙂

Hope is the killer. They bat right down to, and including Washington. Until he's gone I don't believe

Fair to say the remaining Indian batsmen will be bricking it now

Will Young has been amazing in close all series. Shame he could no hold on to that one, but it was a very tough chance

catching critical. We put down the chances in their first innings - so far not so much

Ajaz has come alive in Mumbai, after a pretty quiet series

Shame we didn't have a bigger total to defend. This is just a big tease from the BCs. A couple of big overs from Pant and India are close to home

I'd really be inclined to give O'Rourke an over at Pant if he's on strike and just dig a few in short a la Wags - just see what happens.

I think he's pretty comfortable attacking the spinners.

Jeez, I thought that halfhearted shout by Ajaz had merit at the time

    Smithy confirmed. Damnit

They are being too conservative with reviews

    While we have a moment…..

Happy birthday to former BC Bryan Young. 60 today.

I remember him getting a gutsy 40 odd not out back in 1990 to help beat Australia by one run. They couldn’t chase down 194 in 50 overs !

MOTM though vs a very good Aussie side. Chris Harris and Andrew Jones decided to play a test match instead of an ODI judging by those strike rates.

….and as if to reinforce even more how much the game has changed its worth pointing out he got 39 on test debut……OFF 167 BALLS !!!!!

@MN5 I was going to point at Bryan vs Pakistan as a contender for your most maligned guy to come good (vs Santner).

Not that he was particularly maligned - but, that was a performance miles beyond expectation.

Skippy's two double hundreds were as well - but, only in retrospect.

Yeah Young probably played in the wrong era, things had moved a bit quicker than in the 80s. Mind you he would have looked like Virender Sehwag compared to Trevor Franklin !

He was a good test match opener though, that 267 was extraordinary !

Sinclair was disappointing, amazing start and a first class record to suggest he should have been better at test level than he was.

We really need Pant before he just wins it for them, but 4 to get at the other end! Amazing stuff

    71/6 - we get Jadeja.

Washington and Ashwin still big dangers.

We need someone else around the bat to Pant - even with the spinners - but, I think we need to bowl O'Rourke or Henry at him just to change things!

Young's 51 in the second innings is looking pretty golden right now given the failure of India's top order. That catch wasn't half bad either.
