I hope GWS win just so I can imagine how good the Tigers would have been.

The Swans have been out-Swanned. GWS have a better short game, seemingly better fitness, and are much better at spoiling

So Crows get the Swannies on Saturday.

Didn't GWS do a job on them?

    Hawks v Dogs Friday night.

Cats, Giants have a breather for a week.

Didn't see the Sydney result coming. I thought it would be close, i really didn't expect GWS to do them over.

I don't know how the Bulldogs keep doing it. They've lost some good players to injury this year, but keep turning up, and just belted the Weagles. Even the veterans at the Hawks will be looking over their shoulder a bit leading in to this week.

Crows were always going to be too good for North, who will now drop out of the reckoning for the 8 for a couple of years. Adelaide are a massive chance this week, but, the Swans rarely put in two sub-par performances in a row.

The first half WAS close with GWS and the Swans.

BUT they didn't give Buddy a single metre to move in, and he kicked something like 0.3. Tippett was also injured early (turns out it was a hairline fracture of the jaw) and while the Swans fans were jumping up and down about thuggery on twitter, Tippett's was a complete accident by the looks.

Watched highlights of the Crows v Roos match and it was the Eddie Betts show. Crows like GWS have a high powered attack and I'm not sure if the Swans can stop it.

@ACT-Crusader Swans looked bloody ponderous on the weekend. If the Crows keep Buddy quiet, they'll advance

Is it slightly insensitive of me to only laugh at Shane Mumford saying to Buddy Franklin's face "good to see you aren't on holidays this year"?

Apparently will escape sanction, and good too.

That's great sledge work. Just right up to the edge of being a fluffybunny about the guy's mental illness.

I've been flicking back to this game and it's been great. Hawks in charge early but they're in a power of shit now, Dogs by 6 goals halfway through the last quarter

Holy shit the Champs are out in straight sets. How the fuck are the dogs this good with their injuries?

And so one of the Bulldogs or the Giants will play in the grand final

I'm a little underwhelmed by the teams left.

    Cats v Swans
    Giants v Bulldogs

Part of me would love to see an all Sydney final just to piss the Vics off 🙂

But fuck the Swans for beating the Crows, and the Giants have this manufactured synthetic feeling about them. Sure you've got to start somewhere but .. you know ... there's no 90 yo supporters who have been living their footy club awaiting an outside chance at a Premiership.

Geelong sorted their demons a couple of years ago ... and have had more success since.

Sydney have settled South Melbourne's woes.

    So I'm leaning Bulldogs.

    Which fucks them.

    🙂

@booboo I've sort if had the cats as my 2nd team since the Lions stopped playing finals, and Geelong were great to watch at a time when the Swsns and Eagles were playing anti-footy.

So even though it would be on the back of a huge purchase I will be backing them.

Of course if the Swans get up I'll be hoping for the underdogs from the other prelim in the GF
