@Chris Ye of little faith! Pressure is a funny thing and after the first test all of the pressure is on India. You would expect them to score 400, but you also would expect them to score more than 46 in the first test 🙂

The joys of fielding a Test number 6 with a batting average of 35.

That’s pretty standard for loads of sides though ?

That’s very often where the keeper/all rounder bats.

They can’t all be Border, S Waugh, Hussey etc

Those loads of other sides may not always be good 🙂 Rishabh might be an outlier, but we still have to out play him to have a chance of a series win.

Terrible Phillips outclassed today totally picked the wrong ball to hit over mid off.

Blundell is safe at six though, partly because Philips also isn't knocking the door down with the bat...

Australia have Marsh at six ( averaging 30 ) England have Stokes ( 35 )

    So basically it’s very standard.

    Fuck, another one down

We will see my money is on a big Indian score
With Gill and Washington they are a much stronger batting line up.
They also scored 462 in the 2nd innings this is a typical Indian pitch they will go well on it.

Stokes also bowls when not broken, and doesn't drop regulation chances with the gloves.

Yup. I see them getting a big score and beating us having to only bat once

Yeah we are not comparing Stokes and Marsh’s batting to Blundel either which is not good enough to bat at 8.

Yep exactly what is going to happen after throwing away the bat first advantage.

Santner as our third highest scorer is slightly sobering.

He’s an occasionally effective specialist low order batsman nowadays

In India more so a batsman than a bowler, either way right now I will take any runs we can get

They've really done a number on this pitch. It has little cut marks on it, almost like the machine they use on golf greens. I'm sure they've done it to slow the pitch down, to create variable bounce and to encourage it to break up faster

Can't blame a number 10 for that, but looks to me like a pitch you have to force yourself to play forward on regardless of instincts, unless it's dropped really short.

About 150 runs short, but maybe we'll be lucky.

My question who is going to bowl India out cheaply
ORourke will be a danger maybe Patel our attack is weak.
    Henry being out hurts us.

Yep you are spot on there that is exactly what you have to do to survive.
