Time to join the select few with a series win in India.

I'd take ten days of rain about now.

Bunsen's are no doubt on the way though...

    forecast looks disturbingly dry.

Betfair has India at $1.35, and us and the draw at $8

Better drop a pace bowler and recall Santner

Santner and Southee seem like a variation on the same player now, just how fast the bowling is...

Weirdly I think this could work in our favour... prepare a pitch that turns too much and it becomes a crapshoot, and New Zealand do have players who could hit us to victory in a low scoring game... Patel and Phillips will be good enough I think on a ragger too.

Not a lot in that these days either.

The ironic thing is Southee will likely retain his spot due to his batting...

If you were removing a bowler for Satnav then you would be doing so for batting, his bowling average in India is well known.
I believe Sodhi might be available for this test? not sure

I thought he was - and possibly Kane as well

Horse for courses too... I am no Southee fan, BUT what he did remind all of us of, is that even when he isn't taking wickets, he can offer some control.

If it is going to be a bunsen, plenty of merit in resting WOR, and picking either an extra batter or spinner.

@nzzp damn, hopefully Young builds on the confidence he would have got from the first test as surely he stays now.

Test wont be Bumrah so much this time, but their spine regime

If Young continues to go ok and then KW comes back do they ( hear me out ) go for six batsmen, Blundell at seven plus Phillips and the three bowlers ?

Very, VERY strong batting line up on paper……

Are Mitchell and Ravindra handy enough bowlers for this to even be an option ?

Is Phillips considered a front liner now ? ( probably by BC standards yes )

This would possibly mean KW replacing Southee because they won’t jettison Henry or O’Rourke

Well, we proved how vastly superior we are on a seaming track - so, the mighty India will run scared to a bunsen burner.

    You hearing me, India?!!

Come on, I dare you to prove me wrong. Beat us on a seaming pitch! 🙂

Please, please let us win the toss today. I heard some stat that we've only won like 25% of the tosses in Asia in recent times. That makes it so hard to win when you have to bat last on dust bowls that are cracking up. If we can just win the damn toss and get through the first session without too much damage, there will be huge pressure on India.

I heard we've lost the last 7? Crazy if so ... surely we're due one!

Fingers crossed we win the toss, apparently the decision is to bat first. I'd rather crack a beer and watch us bat tonight versus bowl on a dust bin and watch us get pummeled.

12 years since we won a toss in India, won't be surprised at all if it's rigged.
