Auckland v BOP

First Auckland game I've seen all year. Geez they look a lot better than a team that's 3 from 9.

We’ve had 10-20mins of good play in most games
This is starting to feel a bit like the opening game v Wellington. Dominating but not getting enough points.. held up over the line multiple times

Yeah, I'm seeing why they're not higher up on the table. They retain the ball for long periods of time, but then eventually lose shape and get lazy with their clean outs.
And now it'll be 12-12. BOP would barely have had 12% of the ball.

Narawa is skilled but doesn't seem quite physical enough for 13.
Rona on the other hand looks AB quality 13.

Yeah, he can play there at a pinch, but he's a specialist winger.

Why would you keep selecting Taele at 13 and move Tele'a and Lam to the wing or to the bench?
Wtf does McGrath see in this guy?
He was bad but lets give him a break, he's a boy.
-
So give him a few games off the bench now and then. Why were more experienced players being pushed to the wing to accommodate him at 13 for the whole season?
-
You make a fair point and its been an awful uear results wise for Auckland, but hey, he has a whole season under him now and would have learnt plenty this season. We'll see if the heavy investment in him was worth it going forward.
