He has the potential to be an All Black if he makes the transition in the next few years. Anyone who has seen this guy play knows that. The problem with him though is that he tends to have too many brain explosions and gets either suspended or put on report every second game he plays. I cant see that improving in League to be honest so whoever gets his services in the future will have a but of work to do.

Not fussed about losing Prinsepp, he's one of those blokes who is there because he's young and was in the right academy/school etc.

Seen him play a lot now for club and province, and whilst he has an impressive physique he really lacks in the physical exchanges.

Yeah - he's never really impressed me much either. Luke Whitelock v.2

Razor has a loose forward/lock replacement spot for Jimmy Tupou and surely he can find someone better than Tim Boys?
-

Agree. He's a younger version of Luke Whitelock.
Although I have to admit LW has been playing quite well.

Edit: I see Chris B, with his usual astuteness beat me to it. -

Jordie Barrett still undecided where he signs for Super rugby. Beauden might convince him they can be the 10-12 combo for the Canes.

The Blues have always wanted a Barrett. Maybe they should chase Jordie. -

We had Kane in 2003 - which always seemed like a shameless ploy to lure Beauden in all honestly.

We went through a phase of selecting brothers of ABs who couldn't quite get capped themselves - had Callum Rettallick, Luke Braid and Marty McKensie who will join that list imminently. Was surprised Billy Weepu and SBW's sister didn't get a call up under Lam and Kirwan.
-

Has Kane Barrett retired? The only thing he ever did for us was get red carded in a game for stomping. I don't think he's played after the 2013 season.
-

Yeah, concussion was the reason I think.

Callum Retallick is BBBR's cousin btw.
-
Western Force have a new coach.
David Wessels - only 33 years old - he has been the defensive coach for the Western Force for the last few years.
A very underwhelming announcement - this will only strengthen rumours that the Force are soon to be cut from the competition - given the money problems, the constant recruitment problems and the strong rumours the Force are going to be cut from the comp, it is no wonder they can't find a decent coach.

Schmidt staying in Ireland apparently.

Yeah - he bought a house up the road couple of months ago.

If google translate is correct, this media release confirms that Filo Tiatia will be the new Sunwolves head coach for the 2017 and 2018 Super Rugby seasons.

Don't think he was underrated. Super Rugby was his level, never going to be capped for NZ. He can be a very good player, but lacks the complete package to go any higher. He's a good signing for Bristol, but his ilk of player is rapidly replaced in NZ.
-
@Billy-Tell I did not mean he is good enough for All Blacks but a very good super rugby player who can play in a number of positions

Mitchell Drummond gone until the early rounds of Super rugby next year with a broken leg. I doubt he'll come back full of confidence and on fire. Given that he was presumably going to be our number one halfback, that's an unfortunate start to Razor's reign.

Not sure he was going to be your first choice halfback; Bryn Hall is better than Drummond and was more likely to start anyway. Unfortunate, nevertheless.
-
@Stargazer - Not sure I would have bet heavily against Drummond getting the first crack. He's been one of Razor's boys for several years - recruited him for Canterbury out of Nelson College.
Whereas Hall is a Blackadder signing and effectively pushed out of the Blues by Billy Guyton, which isn't a great recommendation.
Can't really say I'm a great fan of either - but, they're both doubtless better than Fukafuka!
In any case, Drummond's injury has certainly opened the door for Hall.
