Biggest one there is that Nock has been benched, bit surprised at that, but think it is a good move, I'd probably have also put Latu on the bench and given Nichols a start.
Rivez the only 10 in the 23, unsure who slots in if he goes down? Evans or Trainor?

@taniwharugby I am surprised it has taken so long to switch Parker and Rush.
-
Rush very poor at the back of scrum vs counties. Maybe left 10 points from that alone.

Taking it off the back (slipping over) when we had scrum dominance. Not what we needed.

I would have benched Latu as well. He wants to throw 50/50 passes and generally play the game by himself. Just needs to use his obvious talent for the team. Harris has earned his start.

@Duluth Five who played for Waikato while you're counting.
To be fair there are a lot of Northland origin players playing for other PUs. Casey last night for Otago, a recent example.
A good number of these come from Northland and move for schooling, University or rugby opportunities. Happy to welcome them back 😀.

Given the nature of some of our performances so far, I think the coach is going to be under some pressure to turn the performances around. I think we performed better under Leslie and he only had a month or 2 to get the team ready.
I don’t expect improvement until next year. I think this year is already gone. The performance against Manawatu was the indication of where we are at for me. Be interested to see how they build and train the squad for next year.
Some of the young guys have really impressed.

We are hanging on by a thread...
No game sense, making too many errors and making no ground with the ball

@taniwharugby the wind in the 2nd half should help. Hope we don’t fall away. Having a strong scrum has helped but typically the bench hasn’t performed as well.
