Auckland named.

So Visinia got injured first game back (and Nanai is injured too).

Anyone have any idea how long foodbill Blake Gibson is out for?

Will be most interested in how Rieko goes at 13.

It'll be interesting to see how our back 3 go as we are beginning to scrape the barrell a bit. Suprised Fosita didn't manage to get a start in there somewhere.

Rieko Ioane coming back makes the backline look a bit bigger. Without him we would have a backline that would make a case for one of the shortest backlines ever led by everyone's favourite midget Simon Hickey.

Auckland 9-6 at halftime. Southland defending well so far and coming away with points whenever they get in Auckland's half.

Southland lose a man to a YC for a very cynical play after a Reiko break.

messy scrum by Auckland there....end up with a fair penalty although I thought it should be for a different offence (not releasing the tackled man as opposed to playing on the ground)

haha, Auckland almost butcher another try with a dodgy call on a forward pass, this time with a 2 man advantage.

23-9

What was the infringement? Looked like he was on his feet before the ruck formed and the Auckland player didn't release

I missed it, but Marshall said he woulda been ok on the old rules, but then that is Marshall who thought the first YC looked like the guy was trapped

Auckland gotta be spitting at that, conceding a try under the posts to a 13 man Southland.

And no surprise Akira isn't man enough to follow through on all his chest-thumping.
