Watching the women waiting for confirmation of silver and bronze was almost better viewing than the race.

    No doubt about it.

The camaraderie in this sport is excellent

It's funny how most of the sports we win medals in, we are sitting down. Kayaking, Rowing, Cycling and Sailing.

One team member in the German team was beside herself, and the other was having a laugh. Completely different ways of showing emotion while waiting to hear the result.

That was Paulina Paszek, the Pole/German. It was that close for the minor medals.

You’re not going to win many sevens games sitting down

Lydia Ko has picked up a shot on 3. Second place has dropped a shot on 3.

Ko making crucial putts so far. Clutch putts to make par on 1 and 2 and now a tricky birdie putt on 3.

While we're on improving the Olympics

Fencing is poncy as fuck. Give them real swords and add some fucking jeopardy.

And then the super gay modern pentathlon should be a death sport. Duels until 1 is left.

I'd argue she is The Greatest Female Olympian of All Time now.

Only really swimmers ahead of her for her time Golds.

Just watched the race. Wow what a smashing. Carrington is such a machine, both her and Hoskins barely look like they're breathing. Lisa's longevity is remarkable, and by helping to blood her younger boat mates with gold medal success she is establishing her legacy

It's the gentleman's event which would be vastly improved if they had to do it wearing smoking jackets and holding a glass of scotch in their free hand.

The first 100m or so was shock and awe, and they kept pouring it on from there

What I noticed was how effortless it looks for the best crews. Almost as if they're not trying to grab too much water.

It's beautiful to watch. More dynamic than the rowing, like propellers
