spiking the ball towards the Eiffel Tower with the ball caught in the gap in the metalwork
Not a euphemism?
A wide angle version of this perspective and composition - but maybe the tower may look too small
Alternatively a zoomed in shot compressing the foreground and background
Looks like Oriental Bay with an Eiffel Tower photoshopped in the background
and the blue.
and the sunshine.
Crowd?

He had a pretty slow swim. Was out of the water about 1 minute off the lead. Should catch up by the end of the bike leg though. Hopefully still has something in the tank for the run.
His chase group has closed up with the lead group. McCullough is there too. Game on

McCullough sat on the back of the lead group doing no work until Hayden's group got to within 10-15 seconds - then he dropped back and dragged them up the last little bit.
Good work Dylan!
Hopefully he can help Wilde on the run. The 32 man lead group appear to be too far away from the rest of the field

This is going to be a great race from here. Two front leaders seem to be a long way ahead.
Unless he does a Craig Barrett, the worst Wilde can do is silver you would think. Apparently Wilde doesn't usually run down Yee. I was going to say Wilde should try to crack Yee. Just as I type Wilde is trying to push away from Yee
