He had 4 aces, usually unbeatable but the other guy had a straight flush which is the mother load. The asian dude was right to go all in, I would have. The big thing about this is NO ONE ever gets 4 aces! -

You'd be right. They are one in the same. Royal flush only matters when someone else has a lower straight. But Im guessing you knew that. -
Correct TR. Royal Flush is the absolute nuts - cannot be beaten. But any straight flush would beat four of a kind. The problem for Mabuchi is that he's dealt a pair of aces, flops a third to make his set (three of a kind) and, cruelly, gets a final ace on the last card to be dealt. However, that final ace completes the others guy's Royal, which apart from being statistically wild is the sickest way to get beat in that scenario.<br />

But that's poker for you.
