Bunji looks finished in the NRL. Dragons have dropped him for the final two games of the season so they can trial their prospects and no other clubs appear that keen on signing him for 2017.

Meanwhile Elijah Taylor is considering a move to rugby union if he can't get a NRL contract in 2017.

Apparently he's only dropped for this game but will be playing the final game of the season.

Kind of silly that no clubs are interested, he was second in the Dally M just last year, and was injured for a bunch of this year. From what he said last night I think he'd come at a bit of a discount just to stay in the NRL.
-

Panthers pip the Tits 15-14 meaning the Warriors are still alive....sorta.

So when does Cappy walk the plank or will he be pushed?
-

We all knew it was going to happen even though it shouldn't have happened. Tigers should have got thrashed but instead the Warriors put in another 55 minute performance and lose in pathetic fashion. Again.

Thoughts for what happens next:

- The most dignified exit for Cappy McFadden will be to announce on Monday or Tuesday that he will step down as coach at the end of the regular season. I actually think this will happen so Doyle can begin the process of signing.....

- ....Ivan Cleary. Ok, jumping the gun a bit but the coaching hunt has to kick off (although I hear it kicked off in May).

- Don't blow up the roster, because that achieves nothing in professional sports, but do make one senior player walk the plank. So thanks for your years of service Manu Vatuvei, but you let the squad down this season. So on yer bike.

- It is time to accept that Shaun Johnson can't carry the team. Injuries got to him in today's game but even when fit he avoids getting in on every play.

- And don't think signing Kieran Foran solves that. Even if Foran signs with the Mt Smart club, there is little guarantee that he will play many games. With talks of suicide attempts and dodgy gambling antics, Kieran is a high risk situation that has more to do with the NZRL wanting him mentally right than the Warriors seeking their final piece of the puzzle.

- So that means Tui Lolohea, Ata Hingano or Nathaniel Roache will partner Shaun Johnson in the halves. Tui has had a crisis of confidence in the past several weeks while Ata is cocky but raw. Nathaniel is probably the best option at this point in time.

- Usually it was the edge defence that lets us down at the backend of the season but it was actually pretty decent this year thanks in part to Kata and Ayshford. It was the middle of the park where we got owned and that's on Matulino, Lillyman etc.

- Charlie Gubb. Lacks the skills but provides some aggression. Team needs a few doses of this in 2017 because they played like a bunch of sissies at times.

- 21 years and nothing to show for it (besides a couple under 20 trophies) :negative:
-

To be fair we should have won in 2002 against the cap rorting Roosters...
-

So where to from here?

I hope we get torched this weekend. Not because I'm bitter, not because I believe it would rub salt into the fan base wound if we won, and not so it more than certainly ends Cappys tenure.

I want us to lose because I don't want to have any hope going into next season.

Let's start the season with no faith or expectation of good things to come. Let's just assume that it's going to be another Jekyll n Hyde season and Hyde is who'll well be at the end. More bad than good and when everyone's expectations have been suitably lowered we can deliver on that promise. Being all potential and no substance.

No silver lining. No setting the bar low so we can exceed those lowered expectations. Just settling for what is ultimately what we will get.

If the warriors were a chick she'd be the one at the end of the bar you see and try to avoid because she's a minger. But as the long night of drinking(season) goes on you grow to enjoy her company and she's not as alarmingly grotesque as first though. She bought some rounds and the feeling in the club is amazing. You get home(the run to the playoffs) and earth shattering fucking goes on. At the end you actually heard thunder!

But thats when the warriors get you! After an amazing few weeks of good footy they fall over for no apparent reason. You wake up and not only have you missed the 8 but you been smashing a 38 yo truck driver named Gary who ventured out as a women for the first time last night in his inititial tentative steps transitioning into Mary-Beth.

So just lose the faith already. Support, always support but just don't expect anything, at all.

I'm 12 months ahead of you there. I expected nothing this year, and they delivered exactly that.

Is anyone else really concerned with Raz's lifestyle?
I watched the old Rocky Horror Picture Show a couple of weeks ago, which somehow seems to fit the case.
But this little piece of dialogue, especially:
Magenta: I ask for nothing!
Frank: And you shall receive it...in abundance!
