Spain really know how to up the tempo when they need a goal and slow it down and keep the ball when they're ahead. France had a few chances but never really opened them up. Hope we get a better ref for the final. This guy wasn’t that accurate without favouring either of the sides. A classic example was stones clearly heading it out and he called goal kick rather than corner. That sort of thing.

Just with that move for the goal, Watkins showed what England have been missing. Someone who runs, who shows for the ball and is a threat - a real striker's goal when England spent most of the second half not looking like they wanted to score.
