Springboks vs Ireland 1

Only caught the last 20 minutes because there’s no legal way to watch in Canada.
But boks attacking ambition combined with Doris and Baird visiting McCaw’s tailor giving Ireland a big edge at the breakdown. Combined with a huge amount of heart from the Ireland kept them in it.

Luke Pearce not taking any prisoners.
-
Jeez, weak defence from the Boks.
-
Real shame that was disallowed
Great determination from Lowe
-
That looks nasty
-
That Saffa scrum will be on many a highlight reel.

Weirdest game for him. Ends with 3 try assists and a rough overturned try.
Pity two of his assists were to the boks.
Arguably both sides’ best player.

I think boks were mostly better in general play.
Ireland had their opportunities though.
Thought the disallowed try for Ireland was particularly harsh
I wondered about the disallowed try. But no arguments really. All I would say what a bloody good test that was. even Mrs Dan couldn't walk away from it!

Just watched the highlights, don’t have time to watch the full game ,
Those that did, overall how would you compare this game to ours ? Better quality or similar - competitive but scrappy ?
-
@kiwiinmelb they were similar.
-
Now I know Ireland were the best team after losing in the world world cup, are they still the best team in the world after losing this match?
Jokes aside - good game - harsh call on the Ire no try
-
That last scrum of the Boks was huge.

It was
But as an observation, Pearce and Whitehouse are two of the most pedantic officials but Pearce didn’t signal any form of infringement until after the ball shot out on the Irish side
Straight to Penalty Try and YC
To me that’s lost possession to SA and play on
